Voor een internationale speler binnen metaalverwerking in de regio van Roeselare kijken we uit naar een Mechanical Designer ter versterking van het engineeringteam. Binnen deze functie werk je aan het mechanisch ontwerp van technische installaties en componenten voor productieomgevingen. Daarnaast denk je actief mee na over verbeteringen binnen ontwerpstandaarden, werkmethodes en engineeringflows.

Je komt terecht in een financieel stabiele onderneming met een sterke industriële verankering en een no-nonsense mentaliteit. Meer dan 600 medewerkers bouwen dagelijks mee aan kwalitatieve oplossingen binnen een gespecialiseerde niche van metaaltechnologie. Met een jaarlijkse omzet van om en bij €300 miljoen blijft deze organisatie verder investeren in innovatie, automatisatie en technische expertise.

Wat houdt de job in?

  • Je staat in voor het mechanisch ontwerp van matrijzen en afkapsystemen en vertaalt technische concepten naar doordachte oplossingen die rechtstreeks impact hebben op productieprocessen
  • Binnen jouw rol werk je producten volledig uit in 3D en zorg je voor nauwkeurige uitvoeringstekeningen met correcte dimensies en toleranties volgens klantspecificaties of geldende normen
  • Daarnaast volg je projecten van dichtbij op en denk je actief mee tijdens de eerste opstartfases in productie zodat nieuwe ontwerpen technisch én praktisch vlot inzetbaar blijven
  • Samen met verschillende interne afdelingen bewaak je kwaliteit, planning en ontwerpstandaarden terwijl je bestaande tekeningen optimaliseert of aanvult waar nodig voor wisselstukken en technische verbeteringen
  • Je krijgt bovendien de kans om actief bij te dragen aan continue verbeteringen binnen engineering, efficiëntie en milieu waarbij jouw technische inzichten echt gewaardeerd worden
  • Je behaalde een Bachelor- of Masterdiploma in een technische richting en hebt een sterke interesse in mechanisch ontwerp en productieomgevingen
  • Je kan vlot werken met technische tekenprogramma’s zoals AutoCAD en Siemens NX en beschikt daarnaast over een goede kennis van het MS Office pakket
  • Goede kennis Nederlands en Engels
