Als Mechanical Engineer Kranenbouw ontwikkel je klantspecifieke oplossingen voor zware hijs-, bagger- en offshore toepassingen. Je combineert 3D CAD, constructietechniek en praktisch inzicht om van een klantvraag een werkende machine te maken. Wat ga je doen? Als Mechanical Engineer Kranenbouw werk je voor onze opdrachtgever aan klantspecifieke kranen en zware mechanische constructies. Je bespreekt technische wensen met klanten en vertaalt deze naar een haalbaar ontwerp dat voldoet aan de geldende veiligheidseisen. Met AutoCAD en Inventor werk je constructies, onderdelen en complete systemen technisch uit. Daarbij voer je de benodigde berekeningen uit en denk je na over materiaalkeuze, belastingen, maakbaarheid en onderhoud. Ook hydraulische en elektrische systemen spelen een belangrijke rol binnen de machines. Je bent betrokken bij het engineeringproces van eerste idee tot een kraan die daadwerkelijk wordt gebouwd en getest. Omdat de productie op dezelfde locatie plaatsvindt, blijf je dicht bij de praktijk en kun je technische vraagstukken snel beoordelen. Je denkt buiten bestaande oplossingen wanneer een project om maatwerk vraagt en past ontwerpen aan waar nodig. Naast kranen kun je werken aan pontons, spudpalen, graafwielen en andere speciale constructies. Zo combineer je mechanical engineering met zware machinebouw voor projecten in onder andere baggerwerk, bulk handling, heavy lift en offshore.
