Tegelijkertijd zijn we ons bewust van onze verantwoordelijkheid: Chemelot behoort tot de grootste CO2-uitstoters van Nederland. Chemelot Site Permit (CSP) is voor de Chemelot bedrijven de houder van de broeikasgasvergunning - een van de meest complexe van Europa. De afdeling Climate & Energy efficiency ondergebracht bij USG BV (Utility Support Group) werkt als service provider voor Chemelot Site Permit (CSP) en ondersteunt Chemelot bedrijven bij de uitvoering van de verplichtingen op het gebied van EU Emission Trade System (EU ETS) en nationale CO2-heffing. Samen dragen we bij aan de ambitie om Chemelot in 2050 volledig circulair en klimaatneutraal te maken. USG zorgt binnen Chemelot voor betrouwbare levering van gas, water, elektriciteit, stoom, stikstof en perslucht aan de meer dan 50 fabrieken, waaronder SABIC, OCI Nitrogen, Fibrant, AnQore en Arlanxeo, en speelt een sleutelrol in de energietransitie.
