De pedagogisch coördinator is een centrale figuur in het schoolbrede zorgbeleid van PTS Boom en ondersteunt de directie in de uitbouw en bewaking van een kwalitatief pedagogisch beleid.

De pedagogisch coördinator organiseert de leef- en leerzorg, begeleidt de leerlingbegeleiders in de opvolging van individuele dossiers en bewaakt de kwaliteit van het onderwijsleerproces. Hij of zij implementeert en evalueert het beleid op de vier begeleidingsdomeinen: onderwijsloopbaan, leren en studeren, psychisch en sociaal functioneren, en preventieve gezondheidszorg.

Tot de concrete taken behoren onder andere: het aansturen, coachen en coördineren van de leerlingenbegeleiding binnen het zorgcontinuüm, intakegesprekken voeren met leerlingen en ouders, klassenraden organiseren en adviseren, orde- en tuchtdossiers voorbereiden en opvolgen, het leerlingvolgsysteem coördineren, de GOK-werking opvolgen in samenspraak met de GOK-coördinator en de kwaliteitsbewaking van de onderwijsleerpraktijk mee ondersteunen.

De pedagogisch coördinator werkt nauw samen met alle interne schoolactoren en onderhoudt contacten met externe partners zoals het CLB, het ondersteuningsnetwerk en POV.

Profiel en competenties

De kandidaat beschikt over een bachelor- of masterdiploma, aangevuld met een bewijs van pedagogische bekwaamheid (BPB). Relevante ervaring in het onderwijs of de jongerenwerking is vereist. Kennis van het OK-kader en de relevante onderwijswetgeving is noodzakelijk. De kandidaat combineert organisatietalent met een sterk relatiebeheer, werkt discreet en resultaatgericht, en heeft affiniteit met een school die werkt met kwetsbare jongeren.
