Greif is een wereldleider in industriële verpakkingsoplossingen en bedient zowel regionale als internationale klanten in sectoren zoals chemie, farma en voeding. Met 250 fabrieken in 37 landen en een team van 13.000 medewerkers opereert het bedrijf vanuit zijn hoofdkantoor in Ohio (VS).

In België heeft Greif twee productiesites, in Gent en Lier, die gespecialiseerd zijn in de productie van stalen en plastic vaten voor de petrochemie. De vestiging in Gent stelt ongeveer 120 mensen te werk en produceert jaarlijks meer dan 1 miljoen grote en 750.000 kleine stalen vaten.

Voor deze site in Gent zoeken we een Ploegchef onderhoud die het onderhoudsteam aanstuurt en verder uitbouwt.

Jouw functie

Als Ploegchef Onderhoud maak je deel uit van een stabiel team van techniekers, een Technisch Magazijnier en rapporteer je aan de Maintenance Manager. Je krijgt een breed technisch speelveld (elektrisch, mechanisch, hydraulisch, pneumatisch en automatisatie) met veel variatie en verantwoordelijkheid.

Je werkt binnen een sterke interne onderhoudsdienst, waar 90% van het onderhoud in eigen beheer gebeurt, vanuit een ruim en goed uitgerust atelier.

  • Je stuurt een team van 5 à 6 techniekers aan in een tweeploegensysteem (5u–13u en 13u–21u) en werkt zelf mee op de werkvloer bij interventies, van kleine herstellingen tot grotere pannes en revisies.
  • Samen met de Maintenance Manager organiseer je het preventief onderhoud, verdeel je het werk en bewaak je prioriteiten.
  • Je volgt technische meldingen en problemen op en koppelt acties en oplossingen terug naar het team.
  • Je coacht collega’s in het team en helpt hen groeien, zowel starters als ervaren techniekers.
  • Je denkt mee over en realiseert verbeteringen rond veiligheid, kwaliteit en efficiëntie.
  • Veiligheid is heel belangrijk: je waakt over de naleving van veiligheidsregels en stimuleert de Zero Harm-mentaliteit in het team.
  • Je hebt een bachelor denkniveau en een brede technische basis in meerdere domeinen (elektromechanica, automatisatie, elektronica …).
  • Je hebt al ervaring in een leidinggevende of coachende rol op de werkvloer.
  • Je neemt graag verantwoordelijkheid, werkt zelfstandig en doelgericht.
  • Je werkt graag praktisch mee op de werkvloer en steekt zelf ook de handen uit de mouwen bij interventies en onderhoud.
  • Je denkt logisch en zoekt graag naar oplossingen en technische verbeteringen.
