Als Senior Legal Counsel - Logistiek & Maritiem maak je deel uit van het juridische kernteam op het hoofdkantoor. In deze strategische rol ben je eindverantwoordelijk voor complexe juridische dossiers en fungeer je als business partner voor directie en senior management. Je combineert diepgaande juridische expertise met een pragmatische aanpak en hebt een sterke impact op de organisatie.

Je komt terecht in een dynamische, ondernemende omgeving waar snelheid, kwaliteit en samenwerking centraal staan.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden zijn:

  • Je neemt de lead in complexe juridische dossiers (contracten, claims, geschillen, aansprakelijkheden, compliance, …).
  • Je bent sparringpartner van de directie en adviseert op strategisch niveau.
  • Je identificeert en beheert juridische risico’s en zet proactieve structuren en processen op.
  • Je onderhandelt en valideert commerciële en internationale contracten.
  • Je volgt relevante wetgeving en rechtspraak op en vertaalt deze naar concrete acties.
  • Je stuurt externe advocaten en adviseurs aan en bewaakt budgetten.
  • Je bouwt mee aan het juridisch beleid en draagt bij aan compliance en governance binnen de organisatie.
  • Je ondersteunt en coacht collega’s binnen het juridische team.

Jouw ideale achtegrond:

Wij zoeken een ervaren jurist met een sterke business mindset en natuurlijke senioriteit.

Je beschikt over:

  • Master in de Rechten (Belgisch recht).
  • Minstens 10–15 jaar relevante ervaring (advocatuur en/of bedrijfscontext).
  • Sterke expertise in contractenrecht aangevuld met kennis van logistiek, maritiem recht, milieu of IT.
  • Ervaring in een internationale en/of operationele omgeving.
  • Uitstekende communicatieve en onderhandelingsvaardigheden.
  • Vermogen om complexe materie om te zetten in duidelijk en praktisch advies.
  • Talenkennis: zeer goed Nederlands en Engels (Frans is een plus).

  • Strategisch sterk maar ook hands-on.
  • Besluitvaardig en zelfstandig.
  • Analytisch en oplossingsgericht.
  • Een natuurlijke vertrouwenspersoon binnen de organisatie.
