Als Software Engineer IoT ontwikkel je toepassingen waarmee we onze energiesystemen monitoren, aansturen en steeds slimmer maken. Zo verbind je bij Bredenoord software, data en fysieke techniek én draag je direct bij aan de energieoplossingen van morgen. Wat houdt de functie van Software Engineer IoT in? Als Software Engineer IoT werk je binnen onze R&D afdeling aan de software achter onze connected energiesystemen. Je ontwikkelt en onderhoudt toepassingen waarmee we onder andere aggregaten en batterijsystemen monitoren, machines lokaal en op afstand bedienen en data inzichtelijk maken. Daarbij werk je over de hele keten: van software op lokale IoT-devices en communicatie met machines tot cloud-gebaseerde dataverwerking en visualisatie. Je ontwerpt, bouwt, test, configureert en implementeert nieuwe software, maar zorgt er ook voor dat bestaande applicaties betrouwbaar, veilig en toekomstbestendig blijven. Daarbij krijg je te maken met Linux-omgevingen, databases, netwerken en hardware met beperkte resources. Cybersecurity is een belangrijk onderdeel van je werk en bij technische problemen duik je zelf de systemen in om te achterhalen waar het misgaat. Concreet houd jij je onder andere bezig met: Ontwikkelen, testen en implementeren van IoT-software; Testen, configureren en uitrollen van bestaande softwareapplicaties; Ontwikkelen van lokale applicaties voor IoT-devices; Verwerken en visualiseren van data via cloudoplossingen; Beheren en onderhouden van software en databases in Linux-omgevingen; Ontwikkelen van software voor hardware met beperkte resources; Analyseren en oplossen van problemen rondom software, configuraties en netwerken; Technisch coördineren van werkzaamheden binnen projecten; Reviewen van software die door externe ontwikkelpartners wordt gebouwd; Integreren en borgen van cybersecurity binnen onze softwareoplossingen. Wat deze functie bijzonder maakt, is dat je het

resultaat van je werk daadwerkelijk terugziet. De software die jij ontwikkelt, wordt gebruikt om onze machines in het veld te monitoren en bedienen. Je krijgt veel vrijheid om technische keuzes te maken, mee te denken over nieuwe oplossingen en onze IoT-omgeving verder te ontwikkelen. Je komt terecht in het IoT-team binnen onze R&D-afdeling van ongeveer 35 collega's. Het IoT-team bestaat momenteel uit een Software Engineer, IoT-beheerder, Productmanager en Projectmanager. Je rapporteert aan de Manager Application Development. Wat vragen we van je? Je bent een Software Engineer IoT die graag verder kijkt dan alleen de code. Je vindt het interessant om te begrijpen hoe software, hardware, netwerken en machines met elkaar samenwerken en duikt graag in een technisch probleem om tot een goede oplossing te komen. Daarnaast werk je graag samen en krijg je energie van de vrijheid om zelf met ideeën en technische oplossingen te komen. Verder: Heb je hbo werk- en denkniveau; Heb je ervaring met softwareontwikkeling binnen een IoT-omgeving; Heb je ervaring met IoT-devices en cloud-gebaseerde dataverwerking, monitoring en control; Heb je ervaring met één of meerdere van de volgende technieken: Microsoft Azure, Python, TypeScript, Angular, Node.js en Modbus/Canbus; Heb je affiniteit met Linux, databases en netwerken; Heb je oog voor cybersecurity en veilige softwareontwikkeling; Beheers je de Nederlandse en Engelse taal goed in woord en geschrift.
