Voor ons Zuid-Indiase restaurant Dabba King in Antwerpen zoeken wij een ervaren en gemotiveerde souschef.

Dabba King brengt de authentieke smaken van Chennai, Tamil Nadu, naar Antwerpen. Onze keuken is gespecialiseerd in traditionele Zuid-Indiase gerechten, met een sterke focus op de Chettinad-keuken.

Jouw taken

  • De chef-kok ondersteunen bij de dagelijkse leiding van de keuken.
  • Authentieke Chettinad-gerechten bereiden volgens onze recepten en kwaliteitsnormen.
  • Parotta’s, dosa’s, curry’s en andere Zuid-Indiase specialiteiten zelfstandig bereiden.
  • De mise-en-place organiseren en uitvoeren.
  • Toezien op een vlotte en efficiënte service.
  • Keukenmedewerkers begeleiden, motiveren en opleiden.
  • De kwaliteit, smaak en presentatie van alle gerechten controleren.
  • De voorraad opvolgen en helpen bij het plaatsen en controleren van bestellingen.
  • Voedselverspilling beperken en ingrediënten correct bewaren.
  • De keuken en werkposten schoon, ordelijk en veilig houden.
  • Strikt werken volgens de HACCP- en voedselveiligheidsrichtlijnen.
  • De chef-kok vervangen en de keuken aansturen wanneer dat nodig is.
  • Meedenken over nieuwe gerechten en de verdere ontwikkeling van onze menukaart.

Jouw profiel

  • Je hebt aantoonbare ervaring met de Zuid-Indiase en Chettinad-keuken.
  • Je beheerst de traditionele bereiding van parotta en verschillende soorten dosa.
  • Je hebt ervaring als souschef, chef de partie of in een vergelijkbare keukenfunctie.
  • Je kunt zelfstandig werken en verantwoordelijkheid opnemen.
  • Je beschikt over goede organisatorische en leidinggevende vaardigheden.
  • Je werkt snel, nauwkeurig en hygiënisch, ook tijdens drukke services.
  • Je bent een echte teamspeler en kunt collega’s op een positieve manier begeleiden.
  • Je bent flexibel en bereid om ’s avonds en in het weekend te werken.
