Als specialist ouderengeneeskunde ben je binnen de eerste lijn medisch eindverantwoordelijk en bepaal je welk beleid en welke ondersteuning op dat moment passend zijn. Je stelt behandelplannen op, voert regie over het medisch beleid en bewaakt de kwaliteit van zorg. Daarbij stem je af met huisartsen, medisch specialisten, ziekenhuizen en regionale zorgnetwerken. Ook organiseer en begeleid je neuropsychologisch onderzoek in samenwerking met de geheugenpoli. Naast de directe patiëntenzorg denk je mee over de verdere ontwikkeling van de eerstelijnszorg. Je draagt bij aan innovaties en aan het versterken van samenwerkingsverbanden rond ouderenzorg. Daarbij plan je grotendeels je eigen werkzaamheden en neem je zelfstandig medische beslissingen. Jouw nieuwe werkplek Je werkt binnen een geriatrisch expertisecentrum dat sterk inzet op de ontwikkeling van de eerstelijnszorg. Hier staat samenwerking in de eerste lijn centraal: met huisartsen, ziekenhuizen en andere zorgprofessionals in de regio. De zorginstelling gelooft dat goede eerstelijnszorg begint bij sterke verbindingen. Daarom werk je in een netwerk waarin kennisdeling, innovatie en kwaliteit in de eerste lijn vooropstaan.
