Functieomschrijving Tandartsassistente

Als tandartsassistente bij Mechelen-Zuid Dental - Specialisten in Orthodontie ondersteun je de orthodontist tijdens de behandelingen en zorg je mee voor een vlot verloop van de praktijkdag.

Je combineert klinische ondersteuning met patiëntencontact en praktische organisatie. Je werkt nauw samen met de orthodontist en je collega's en draagt bij aan een rustige, professionele en aangename omgeving voor onze patiënten.

Jouw taken

  • Assisteren van de orthodontist tijdens behandelingen
  • Voorbereiden en opruimen van de behandelruimte
  • Reinigen, desinfecteren en steriliseren van instrumentarium
  • Klaarzetten van orthodontische materialen en apparatuur
  • Begeleiden en geruststellen van kinderen, jongeren en ouders
  • Uitvoeren van gedelegeerde handelingen binnen je bevoegdheden en ervaring
  • Maken van intra-orale foto's en ondersteunen bij digitale scans en beeldvorming
  • Aanvullen en opvolgen van materialen en voorraden
  • Correct registreren van informatie in het patiëntendossier
  • Mee bewaken van hygiëne, orde en een efficiënte praktijkwerking

We zoeken iemand die nauwkeurig en georganiseerd werkt, graag met mensen omgaat en goed functioneert binnen een team. Ervaring in de tandheelkunde of orthodontie is een pluspunt, maar motivatie, leergierigheid en een goede werkhouding vinden we minstens even belangrijk.

Wie zoeken we?

  • Indien er geen 2jaar ervaring is, dan is een opleiding als tandartsassistent minstens vereist
  • Je werkt nauwkeurig, hygiënisch en georganiseerd
  • Je bent vriendelijk en patiëntgericht en voelt je goed in de omgang met kinderen en jongeren
  • Je kan goed samenwerken en bent collegiaal en betrouwbaar
  • Je blijft rustig en efficiënt werken, ook op drukkere momenten
  • Je hebt oog voor orde, materiaal en een vlotte praktijkwerking
  • Je bent leergierig en bereid om je verder te verdiepen in orthodontische technieken en digitale workflows
  • Je spreekt vlot Nederlands; kennis van Frans en/of Engels is een pluspunt
  • Ervaring als tandartsassistent(e) is een pluspunt, maar geen absolute vereiste
  • Een opleiding tandartsassistent(e), zorgkundige, verpleegkundige of een andere relevante zorgopleiding is een meerwaarde
  • Je kan vlot overweg met computerprogramma’s en digitale toepassingen
  • Je bent beschikbaar op de afgesproken werkdagen van maandag tot en met donderdag
  • Wonen in Mechelen of regio is een pluspunt
