The posting

Heb je ervaring met montage, metaalbewerking of onderhoud en werk je graag zelfstandig? In deze functie zorg je ervoor dat rollend materieel en containers technisch in orde blijven. Je krijgt een duidelijk takenpakket, werkt met je handen en ziet meteen het resultaat van je werk.

Wat ga je doen? Je werkt in de werkplaats in Zeebrugge en staat in voor het onderhoud, de controle en de herstelling van verschillende types rollend materieel en containers.

  • Je voert jaarlijkse inspecties, onderhoud en testen uit op roll-trailers, roro-cassettes, roro-trestles en containers.
  • Je herstelt beschadigd materieel en containers, onder meer aan houten vloeren en stalen constructies.
  • Je vervangt beschadigde onderdelen en voert mechanische herstellingen uit, zoals lagers monteren en onderdelen smeren.
  • Je herstelt scheuren door oplassen en werkt herstellingen af door onderdelen opnieuw te beschermen of te schilderen.
  • Je controleert je werk zorgvuldig zodat het materieel veilig en betrouwbaar opnieuw ingezet kan worden.

Waar ga je werken? Je werkt in een technische werkplaats binnen de haven van Zeebrugge. Samen met je collega's zorg je ervoor dat het materieel dat dagelijks in de logistieke keten wordt gebruikt, veilig en betrouwbaar blijft. De werkomgeving is praktisch en afwisselend: je bent bezig met montage, metaalwerk, onderhoud en herstellingen. Je krijgt verantwoordelijkheid over je eigen werk en kan rekenen op collega's wanneer overleg of ondersteuning nodig is. De grootste troef? Je ervaring en technisch inzicht maken elke dag het verschil in materieel dat opnieuw veilig ingezet moet kunnen worden. Ervaring met montage en metaalwerk is belangrijker dan een specifiek diploma.

  • Je hebt een technische achtergrond of relevante ervaring in montage, metaalbewerking of onderhoud.
  • Je kan zelfstandig werken en neemt verantwoordelijkheid voor de kwaliteit van je werk.
  • Je werkt nauwkeurig en zorgt ervoor dat je werkplek en administratie in orde zijn.
  • Je werkt graag samen met collega's en communiceert duidelijk wanneer overleg nodig is.
  • Je beschikt over een rijbewijs B en staat open voor bijkomende opleidingen.

Een diploma mechanica, een heftruckattest of ervaring met halfautomaatlassen zijn mooie extra's. Heb je die nog niet, dan kan je hierin verder worden opgeleid.
