Werken in het Telco Cloud team

Het Telco Cloud-platform vormt de basis waarop het netwerk en de 5G diensten van Telenet voor miljoenen klanten draaien. Als Operations Engineer in ons Telco Cloud team help je die basis stabiel, snel en veilig te houden. En je maakt het voor andere teams gemakkelijker om hierop voort te bouwen.

Je werkt in een hecht team dat verschillende ‘tribes’ en teams ondersteunt, elk met hun eigen behoeften en tijdschema’s. Samen maak je gebruik van automatisering, monitoring, capaciteitsplanning en performance engineering om problemen te voorkomen voordat klanten ze opmerken. Gaandeweg draag je bij aan de opzet van ons 5G kernplatform en help je vorm te geven aan hoe we AI inzetten voor onze operations.

Dit is een functie die is ontworpen voor groei. Je krijgt vanaf dag één een senior buddy toegewezen, tijd om te leren en de ruimte om meer verantwoordelijkheid op je te nemen naarmate je zelfvertrouwen groeit.

Jouw rol als Telco Cloud Operations Engineer

  • Zorg dat onze virtualisatie- en Kubernetes-platforms in optimale staat blijven door monitoring, automatisering en voortdurende verbeteringen voor betrouwbaarheid en schaalbaarheid.
  • Ondersteun de uitbreiding van onze AIOps-mogelijkheden met data uit het NSO-datalake en monitoringtools. Detecteer afwijkingen, correleer waarschuwingen en voorspel toekomstige capaciteitsbehoeften.
  • Help applicatieteams bij het implementeren van telco clouddiensten en wees hun vertrouwde technische aanspreekpunt.
  • Bouw, onderhoud en optimaliseer CI/CD-pipelines en zorg tegelijkertijd voor een veilige en efficiënte implementatie van standaardwijzigingen.
  • Gebruik AI-tools in je dagelijkse werk om scripts te ontwikkelen, taken te automatiseren, documentatie op te stellen en incidentanalyses te verbeteren.
  • Onderzoek en los L2/L3 incidenten op samen met je team, identificeer de onderliggende oorzaken en help terugkerende problemen te voorkomen.
  • Draag bij aan platformontwerpen, roadmaps en best practices. Je zal ook deelnemen aan agile bijeenkomsten en de gezamenlijke wachtdiensten.

Jouw profiel als Telco Cloud Operations Engineer

  • Je hebt tussen de 1 en 4 jaar praktijkervaring met Linux en virtualisatie, containers of Kubernetes, opgedaan via werk, stages of persoonlijke projecten.
  • Je hebt ervaring met scripting of coderen, bij voorkeur in Python.
  • Je bent vertrouwd met het werken met YAML en Git.
  • Je hebt basiskennis van netwerkconcepten zoals routing, DNS en load balancing.
  • Je communiceert duidelijk en effectief in het Engels.
  • Kennis van het Nederlands is een pluspunt.
  • Je bent leergierig en wilt graag nieuwe technologieën leren en je skillset over cloud, automatisering en platform engineering voortdurend uitbreiden.

Je bent bereid om mee on call rotatie te draaien.
