The posting

Als transportmanager ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwikkelen, uitvoeren en opvolgen van het strategische en operationele transportbeleid binnen de organisatie. Je draagt actief bij aan het verder uitbouwen en verbeteren van de transportstrategie en zorgt mee voor een duurzame, veilige en kostenefficiënte transportorganisatie die afgestemd is op de doelstellingen van het bedrijf en de verwachtingen van klanten.

Je verantwoordelijkheden omvatten onder andere:

  • Meewerken aan de uitwerking en implementatie van de transportstrategie, afgestemd op de algemene bedrijfsdoelstellingen;
  • Optimaliseren van transportstromen, netwerkstructuren, capaciteitsplanning en routebeheer voor zowel primair, secundair als tertiair transport;
  • Ondersteunen van de dagelijkse transportactiviteiten, waaronder het behandelen van klachten, het verbeteren van routes en het opvolgen van specifieke klantvragen;
  • Opstellen, beheren en analyseren van transportbudgetten en financiële prestatie-indicatoren;
  • Onderhouden van duurzame samenwerkingen met transportpartners, inclusief contractonderhandelingen en het coördineren van RFP-trajecten;
  • Garanderen dat alle transportactiviteiten voldoen aan de geldende wetgeving, veiligheidsvoorschriften en duurzaamheidsvereisten;
  • Monitoren en verbeteren van transport-KPI’s zoals leverbetrouwbaarheid, kostenbeheersing en duurzaamheidsdoelstellingen;

Je werkt vanuit de hoofdzetel in Brussel en onderhoudt nauwe contacten met interne stakeholders en verschillende afdelingen binnen de organisatie om gezamenlijke doelstellingen te realiseren.

Voor deze uitdagende functie van transportmanager zijn wij op zoek naar een ervaren professional die beschikt over:

  • Minstens 10 jaar relevante ervaring in een leidinggevende rol binnen de transport- of logistieke sector;
  • Een diepgaande kennis van transportwetgeving en -richtlijnen binnen de Benelux;
  • Uitstekende communicatieve en onderhandelingsvaardigheden in het Nederlands en Frans, aangevuld met een goede kennis van het Engels;
  • Sterke digitale vaardigheden en ervaring met transportmanagementsystemen. Kennis van SAP is een pluspunt; een zeer goede beheersing van MS-Excel is noodzakelijk;
  • Een pragmatische en oplossingsgerichte aanpak, waarbij je initiatief neemt, verantwoordelijkheid opneemt en deadlines bewaakt;
  • De flexibiliteit om je regelmatig te verplaatsen naar verschillende distributiesites in België en occasioneel nachtbezoeken uit te voeren (Mollem, Lokeren, Paal-Beringen, Jumet, Wommelgem en Roeselare);

Daarnaast beschik je over het vermogen om veranderingen op een positieve en gestructureerde manier te begeleiden en strategische doelstellingen succesvol te vertalen naar de praktijk binnen een dynamische organisatie.
