The posting

Als transportmanager ben jij verantwoordelijk voor 140 medewerkers verspreid over verschillende sites. Verder sta je in voor het volgende takenpakket:

  • Je draagt de eindverantwoordelijkheid voor de prestaties van het nationale transportdomein (service, capaciteit, kosten, veiligheid en compliance);
  • Je neemt beslissingen rond prioriteiten, escalaties en structurele optimalisaties binnen de transportwerking;
  • Je waakt over een efficiënte inzet van chauffeurs, charters, subcontractors, voertuigen en beschikbare capaciteit;
  • Je stuurt de planning & dispatch teamleads aan en ondersteunt hun ontwikkeling als team en individueel;
  • Je zorgt voor een vlotte samenwerking tussen planning, dispatch en de verschillende sites;
  • Je werkt nauw samen met de transport director en interne stakeholders om operationele en structurele uitdagingen aan te pakken;
  • Je bent regelmatig aanwezig op de verschillende sites om de werking van dichtbij op te volgen;
  • Je volgt KPI’s en prestaties op en vertaalt deze naar concrete verbeteracties;
  • Je analyseert structurele knelpunten en implementeert duurzame oplossingen;
  • Je rapporteert over resultaten, risico’s en acties en ondersteunt besluitvorming;
  • Je implementeert een TMS-systeem (nog niet aanwezig);
  • Je trekt je mee aan van Lean & Green-projecten en netwerkt.

De transportmanager naar waar wij op zoek gaan:

  • Beschikt over een bachelor- of masterdenkniveau, aangevuld met relevante ervaring binnen transport, logistiek of een operationele omgeving;
  • Heeft een sterke kennis van transportprocessen, capaciteitsbeheer en operationele sturing;
  • Werkt resultaatgericht, neemt verantwoordelijkheid op en toont eigenaarschap;
  • Heeft ervaring met het leiden, coachen en ontwikkelen van operationele teams;
  • Weet mensen te verbinden en te motiveren rond gemeenschappelijke doelstellingen;
  • Communiceert duidelijk, durft beslissingen te nemen en kan prioriteiten stellen;
  • Werkt vlot samen met diverse stakeholders en bouwt duurzame relaties op;
  • Is professioneel tweetalig in het Nederlands en Frans;
  • Is bereid zich regelmatig te verplaatsen tussen verschillende vestigingen binnen België.
