Bij de Commonwealth War Graves Commission (CWGC) werk je mee aan het onderhoud en de restauratie van militaire begraafplaatsen en gedenktekens in België, Nederland, Frankrijk en Duitsland. Je maakt deel uit van een gespecialiseerd team dat dagelijks bijdraagt aan het behoud van een uniek stukje internationaal erfgoed.

Geen ervaring als natuursteenbewerker of restaurateur? Geen probleem. Wij leren je de kneepjes van het vak.

Wat ga je doen?

Samen met je collega's sta je in voor het onderhoud en de restauratie van onze sites:

✔ Reinigen, hervoegen, bronzen en schilderwerken uitvoeren.

✔ Grafzerken graveren, herstellen en plaatsen.

✔ Natuursteen restaureren en herstellen.

✔ Muren, paden en andere erfgoedstructuren reconstrueren.

✔ Restauratiewerken uitvoeren aan historische muren en monumenten, voornamelijk in de regio Ieper.

Wie ben jij?

  • Je werkt graag buiten.
  • Je bent praktisch ingesteld en fysiek in staat om onderhouds- en restauratiewerken uit te voeren.
  • Je werkt nauwkeurig en hebt oog voor detail.
  • Je leert graag nieuwe technieken aan.
  • Je bent een echte teamspeler.
  • Je beschikt over een rijbewijs B.
  • Ervaring in bouw, onderhoud of restauratie is mooi meegenomen, maar geen vereiste.

Werken op verplaatsing

In de lente- en zomerperiode werk je regelmatig buiten West-Vlaanderen of België. Daarbij verblijf je soms één tot twee weken op locatie.

  • Je bent dus bereid om tijdens deze periode regelmatig op verplaatsing te werken.
