Het ZOL is een supra regionaal topklinisch ziekenhuis dat zowel basiszorg als complexe zorg aanbiedt in Genk, Lanaken en Maaseik.

Om ons team te versterken zijn we op zoek naar een verpleegkundige voor de afdeling neurochirurgie (GB20) op campus Genk.

Jij als verpleegkundige op neurochirurgie

Als verpleegkundige op de afdeling neurochirurgie maak je deel uit van een dynamisch en multidisciplinair team dat zorg biedt aan patiënten met aandoeningen ter hoogte van de hersenen, het ruggenmerg, de wervelkolom en de zenuwen.

Je begeleidt en verzorgt patiënten vóór en na een neurochirurgische ingreep. De meest voorkomende operaties op onze afdeling zijn ingrepen voor hersentumoren en hernia’s. Daarnaast is onze dienst ook nauw betrokken bij de operatieve behandeling van pijn, in nauwe samenwerking met de pijnkliniek, en opvang van patiënt met een neurotrauma of coma na een verblijf op intensieve zorgen.

De patiënt staat centraal in alles wat we doen. Samen met kinesitherapeuten, logopedisten, ergotherapeuten, sociaal werkers, oncocoaches en psychologen draag je bij aan een multidisciplinaire en warme zorgverlening.

Onze afdeling telt 26 bedden, waarvan 10 eenpersoonskamers. De gemiddelde verblijfsduur bedraagt 3 tot 5 dagen, afhankelijk van de ingreep. De meeste opnames zijn geplande ingrepen, aangevuld met een beperkt aantal spoedopnames.

Wat zijn jouw troeven

  • Je bent basis-, hbo- of bachelor verpleegkundige, of behaalt dit binnenkort​
  • Ervaring binnen neurochirurgie is een pluspunt, maar leergierigheid en enthousiasme zijn minstens even belangrijk.
  • Je werkt graag in een multidisciplinair team en hebt oog voor kwaliteit en patiëntveiligheid.
  • Je kan autonoom en gestructureerd werken in een omgeving met complexe zorgvragen.
  • Je bent bereid om te werken in variabele posten (dag-, avond- en weekenddiensten).
  • Collegialiteit, respect en empathie typeren jou als verpleegkundige.
