Als verpleegkundige binnen onze afdeling ben je verantwoordelijk voor de verpleegkundige zorg aan patiënten op de opname-afdeling psychiatrie. Je plant, coördineert en voert hoog-complexe, multidisciplinaire zorg uit binnen een verpleegkundig team. Je werkt daarbij nauw samen met psychiaters, arts-assistenten en andere disciplines betrokken bij de afdeling, om met z'n allen behandeling en beleid af te stemmen. De dag begint met een overleg waarin je de taken van de dag en de toewijzing van de patiënten bespreekt. Over het algemeen heb je voor 2 à 3 patiënten de verantwoordelijkheid. Je zorgt ervoor dat de patiënt op tijd aan het ontbijt verschijnt en bij programma-onderdelen en/of onderzoeken. Je sluit aan bij medische gesprekken, observeert en rapporteert aan de hand van verpleegproblemen. Waar nodig heb je tussendoor overleg met de artsen of collega's. Het opstellen en uitvoeren van verpleegplannen hoort tot je dagelijkse taken. Je bewaakt het overzicht over gemaakte afspraken, maar daarnaast is ook het observeren en alert zijn op eventuele veranderingen in de situatie van groot belang. Een ander belangrijk aspect van je werk is het begeleiden van je patiënt bij alles waar hulp bij nodig is. Dit kan variëren van het ondersteunen bij ADL of maaltijden tot het voeren van motiverende en ventilerende gesprekken, waarbij je niet alleen aanspreekpunt bent van de patiënt maar ook van de familie. Daarnaast draag je bij aan de groei, professionalisering en vernieuwing van de afdeling door deel te nemen aan werkgroepen en trainingen, leerlingen te begeleiden en het verzorgen van klinische lessen.
