Als docent Engels bij Houtens werk je op een kleinschalige school in een open en prettig gebouw. Voor de tijdelijke vervanging van een collega zijn wij op zoek naar een docent Engels voor 0,8 fte.

In jouw lessen weet je leerlingen te binden en te boeien voor de Engelse taal door jouw vakinhoudelijke en pedagogische kwaliteiten. Je helpt onze leerlingen verder in hun ontwikkeling en bereidt hen voor op een succesvolle vervolgopleiding.

Binnen de vakgroep Engels zoeken collega’s elkaar graag op om samen het onderwijs vorm te geven. Jullie zijn gezamenlijk verantwoordelijk voor het ontwikkelen van lessen en toetsen. Door het kleinschalige karakter van Houtens leer je de leerlingen écht kennen. Je komt terecht in een ervaren vakgroep waarin je snel je plek kunt vinden en kunt rekenen op ondersteuning van je collega’s.

We zoeken op korte termijn een collega die ons tijdelijk komt versterken en beschikt over een tweedegraads bevoegdheid.

Onze collega’s hebben de drive om hard te werken aan een school die blijft uitblinken in veiligheid, omgang en sfeer. We zoeken collega’s die, net als wij, houden van de open dialoog met leerlingen en collega’s, die meerzijdig partijdig kunnen zijn en die duidelijke grenzen stellen door gewenst gedrag te benoemen. Kortom: collega’s die vanuit de dialoog de uitdaging aangaan om onderwijs te verzorgen voor pubers.

Dit is wie we zijn

Houtens is een relatief kleine school voor mavo en beroepsgericht onderwijs. We zetten vol in op de band met onze leerlingen, zo’n 600 in totaal, en iedereen kent elkaar. We geloven dat leren het beste gaat als zowel de docent als de leerlingen zich lekker in hun vel voelen en de verhouding in balans is. Onze leerlingen dragen het hart op de tong en zijn lekker direct. Ze voelen zich heel betrokken bij de school en dat voel je.
