Jouw uitdaging

Als werfarbeider tunneltechnieken werk je samen met je ploeg aan unieke projecten waarbij tunnels voor nutsleidingen worden geboord, met diameters van ongeveer 40 cm tot 4 meter. Jij levert de technische ondersteuning die nodig is om het volledige tunnelboorproces veilig, nauwkeurig en vlot te laten verlopen.

Jouw werkplek

Door het gespecialiseerde karakter van de tunnelwerken voeren we regelmatig opdrachten uit in het buitenland, voornamelijk binnen West-Europa. Daarnaast werk je lange dagen in de buitenlucht, samen met een ploeg van ervaren collega’s.

Jouw team valt onder de divisie Tunnelling binnen Smet Tunnelling. Zij zijn de specialist in ondergrondse, duurzame verbindingen. Onze divisie Tunnelling realiseert tunnelboringen en doorpersingen voor zowel openbare opdrachtgevers als de industrie. De unieke aard van deze werken maakt ze technisch uitdagend én bijzonder interessant.

Wat jij gaat doen

Als werfarbeider sta je dagelijks in ter ondersteuning van de boormeester en zorg je ervoor dat het tunnelboorproces veilig en vlot verloopt. Je werkt meestal in een team van 4 à 5 personen.

Jouw belangrijkste taken:

  • Het opstellen van de werf volgens de richtlijnen van het opstellingsplan.
  • Het ondersteunen van het tunnelboorproces door diverse technische werkzaamheden uit te voeren.
  • Het bewaken van orde en netheid op de werf.
  • Het uitvoeren van kleine herstellingen en het onderhouden van gebruikte materialen en installaties.
  • Het afbreken van de werf, het afkoppelen en schoonmaken van het materiaal en het laden ervan op de vrachtwagens.

Wie jij bent

  • Je beschikt over een rijbewijs B en eigen vervoer.
  • Je kan Nederlands spreken, lezen en schrijven.
  • Je houdt van afwisseling en bent leergierig. Je wil veel bijleren en durft uitdagingen aangaan.
  • Je haalt voldoening uit fysiek werk in de buitenlucht en hebt geen schrik om je handen vuil te maken. Dankzij jouw technisch inzicht en jouw oplossingsgerichte aanpak weet je bovendien snel in te spelen op situaties op de werf.
  • Hoogte, diepte of kleine ruimtes vormen voor jou geen probleem.
  • Je bent bereid om vaak op logement te gaan en kan omgaan met wisselende uren en dagen waarop je vooraf niet weet wanneer je klaar zal zijn.
  • Je functioneert goed in teamverband. Je werkt vaak met dezelfde collega’s aan projecten en bouwt een hechte band op die zich ook buiten de werf verderzet.
