AVK maakt deel uit van de HVK-groep, een organisatie die een maatschappelijke meerwaarde creëert in de prehospitaalzorg. Als erkende vrijwilligersorganisatie is zij aanwezig in heel Vlaanderen via een werking vanuit regio's en ankers, waardoor ze gemakkelijk benaderbaar is. Haar activiteiten, waaronder eventhulpverlening, patiëntenvervoer en opleidingen in eerste hulp, hebben een directe impact op de lokale gemeenschap.

Voor AVK in de regio's Leuven en West Vlaanderen leggen wij momenteel een wervingsreserve aan van gedreven ambulanciers niet-dringend patiëntenvervoer om ons team te versterken. AVK is één van de relevante spelers op het gebied van niet-dringend patiëntenvervoer in Vlaanderen. Wij zijn voornamelijk actief in regio Leuven, Ieper, Waregem en Brugge. Daarnaast vervoeren we jaarlijks meer dan 50.000 patiënten over de Vlaamse provincies, het Brussels gewest en soms ook Wallonië.

Functie:

Je maakt deel uit van een team van ambulanciers niet-dringend patiëntenvervoer, waarbij je werkt in een beurtrolsysteem. Je rapporteert aan de coördinator/dispatcher en werkt nauw samen met de andere ambulanciers niet-dringend patiëntenvervoer voor het liggend-, zittend- en rolstoelpatiëntenvervoer.

Wat behoort tot je dagelijkse taken?

  • Je leeft de (administratieve) protocollen en procedures na bij elk vervoer.
  • Je gaat respectvol en empathisch om met de patiënten, hun familie en/of begeleiders.
  • Je geeft de relevante informatie door aan de juiste partijen.
  • Je staat in voor allerhande niet-dringend patiëntenvervoer.
  • Je werkt veilig en staat garant voor comfortabel patiëntenvervoer.

Profiel

  • Je beschikt over een visum voor niet dringend patiëntenvervoer en bent bereid jezelf bij te scholen.
  • Nederlands (zeer goed), Frans/Engels (in beperkte mate).
  • Je hebt een geldig rijbewijs, inclusief medisch rijgeschiktheidsattest.
  • Je bent minimum 21 jaar en beschikt minstens 2 jaar over een rijbewijs cat. B.
  • Je hebt een goed geografisch inzicht.
  • Je blijft rustig in stressvolle situaties en een snel veranderende omgeving.
  • Occasioneel weekendwerk of wachtdiensten schrikken je niet af.
  • Je hebt sterke communicatievaardigheden (en behoudt deze ook als je onder druk staat, zowel naar de patiënten toe als naar de artsen en collega’s).
  • Je kan een blanco uittreksel strafregister model 596.2 voorleggen.
