In this high-impact role, you will need to consider all aspects of the design including safety, reliability, comfort, environmental, aesthetics, manufacture, assembly as well as maintenance and operation by our airline customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality engineering component and assembly designs, from concept to serial production, on time and to specification.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues in Engineering, FEA, Certification, Purchasing, Quality, Production, and Program Management teams to ensure the successful delivery of development projects.
  • Optimise your engineering design output to achieve the best balance of key success factors including safety, reliability, comfort, weight, cost, manufacture, and assembly, to ensure a competitive, lightweight, and easily manufacturable product. Propose technical solutions to reduce product weight and improve reliability, while contributing to reducing the environmental footprint.
  • Participate in functional analysis, FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and the selection of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Elevate the passenger experience by maintaining exceptionally rigorous standards for premium Trim & Finish materials, textures, and perceived quality.
  • Proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of products and processes.

Key Requirements - Essential

  • Minimum 2 years’ postgraduate experience in new product development and/or new product introduction.
  • Competence in industry-standard CAD software (such as SolidWorks, Catia), and the production of high-quality engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Knowledge and experience of a variety of materials (aluminium, composite, plastics, soft trim) and manufacturing processes (machining, extrusion, injection moulding, thermo-forming).
  • Attention to detail - a strong eye for detail, and awareness of design for perceived quality.
  • Curious, rigorous, autonomous, and comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Fluent in technical English, both written and spoken.

Key Requirements - Preferred

  • Awareness of FAA/EASA airworthiness standards for cabin safety and interior equipment (e.g., FAR/CS 25.853, 25.562)
  • Experience of design and development of mechanical systems for industrial applications, ideally in the aerospace, mobility, or mass-production sectors.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
