Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking an Electrical/Electronic Engineer to work at Red River Army Depot in the Texarkana, TX area.

A United States Citizenship and an active Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide design, development, and assessment of electrical and electronic systems supporting ground vehicle platform requirements.
  • Support systems involving electricity, electronics, electromagnetics, radio waves, cellular communications, and data communications.
  • Support both wireless and wired communication and transmission technologies.
  • Evaluate electrical and electronic systems to ensure they meet ground vehicle platform requirements.
  • Provides electrical and electronic engineering support to depot production, maintenance, overhaul, and industrial equipment operations, with an emphasis on production support rather than new system design.
  • Troubleshoots electrical and electronic equipment issues and responds to technical questions from production, maintenance, and engineering personnel.
  • Reviews and interprets technical manuals, electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and equipment documentation to support depot operations.
  • Evaluates electrical requirements associated with industrial equipment, machinery, power distribution, equipment installation, and production processes.
  • Supports equipment upgrades, modifications, installations, and production issues involving electrical power and electronic systems.
  • Provides engineering recommendations to resolve equipment deficiencies, improve reliability, and maintain safe and effective production operations.
  • Focus is on electrical power, equipment, and production engineering support rather than PLC programming or controls-system development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with electrical and electronic systems used in ground vehicle or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of wired and wireless communication technologies, radio frequency (RF), cellular, and data transmission systems.

Experience/Skills:

  • Experience in electrical/electronic engineering, system design, development, or assessment.
  • Knowledge of electrical, electronic, electromagnetic, RF, cellular, and data communication systems.

Education:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is preferred.

Clearance:

  • Active Secret DoD Security Clearance is required.
  • Must be a United States Citizen and pass a background check.
  • Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’s Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
