The posting

Fireflies.ai is the leading AI teammate for meetings, trusted by more than 20 million users across over 500,000 organizations, from fast-growing startups to Fortune 500 enterprises. Fireflies captures knowledge, automates repetitive work, and helps teams become more productive before, during, and after every meeting.

Fireflies has achieved unicorn status with a valuation exceeding $1 billion. In 2024, Ramp recognized Fireflies as the sixth most popular AI platform by number of paying customers, alongside companies including OpenAI, Midjourney, and Anthropic. There is a good chance you have already seen Fireflies quietly powering one of your recent meetings.

The first job is the brand itself. We have a visual system today, but we want someone to take a position on it: what Fireflies should look and feel like, what makes it recognizable, and what holds together across everything we put out. The website is where that lands first and hardest. New pages, launch moments, and the product imagery that carries them. From there it extends to social, ads, email, video, and campaigns.

Our product is mostly words on a screen, made up of transcripts, summaries, and notes. Turning that into something people want to look at is the heart of this job. This is a hands-on role with a lot of ownership. You'll work closely with marketing, product design, and engineering.

Brand & Design at Fireflies: Character: Fred is the Fireflies mascot and the face of our product. He sits at the heart of the brand, and for many people, he'll be their first introduction to Fireflies. We're looking for people who can build a world around a character and keep it feeling cohesive as the product grows. Warmth: We want Fireflies to feel human and approachable, closer to a notebook than traditional enterprise software. Plenty of generic AI products are out there, and we have an opportunity to build something that feels distinctly ours. Recognition: Ideally, people should be able to recognize a Fireflies illustration even without seeing the logo. That recognition comes from having a clear point of view and carrying it consistently across everything we make. Craft: We care about the details: color, type, spacing, composition, and the quality of every asset. We care about both how something looks and how well it works. Anything that ships with the Fireflies name on it should feel intentional and considered. Persuasion: A page can look beautiful, but if it doesn't help people understand the product or take action, there's more work to do. We value strong marketing instinct and curiosity about what happens after something goes live. Copy is part of the design here too, so being able to shape a headline or rethink messaging is just as valuable as getting the visual design right. One system, many products: Meetings, email, Slack, Talk, CRM, tasks, knowledge, and more. Each product can have its own personality while still feeling like part of the same creative system. The connection between the brand and the product should feel natural and obvious. Shipping: We move quickly, and we like to ship. The best work is ultimately experienced in the real world, not just in Figma. We work toward real launch dates, learn from what goes live, and keep improving. Opinions: Bring references, ideas, and a point of view. Good ideas can come from anywhere, and we value thoughtful debate. We'd rather explore different perspectives and arrive at something better together than agree for the sake of it.

What You'll Work On: Brand ownership: Evolve the visual system and the templates that let the team move without you. Website and landing pages: Design and ship new pages, from the hero visual through to how they hold up live. Launch campaigns: Carry one concept across the launch page, announcement, social, and video. Social media assets: Design product-first posts that make the value or outcome land fast. Digital ads: Design creative ads for Meta, Google, and LinkedIn that stop the scroll. Storyboards: Build the visuals and scenes behind launch and explainer videos. Marketing materials: Design event slides, in-app banners, and posters that hold the brand.

What We're Looking For: 3+ years of brand, web, or visual design experience. A brand or identity system you defined yourself. A portfolio with live links, showing marketing pages or sites you designed and shipped. Strong command of typography, layout, composition, and color, with visual ideas that are clearly your own. Proven ability to make software look good. Show us work where you created the product imagery. Solid grasp of UI principles like visual hierarchy, spacing, and alignment, since much of this work involves product UI. Understanding of how a page behaves, not just how it looks in a frame, including responsive judgment and section rhythm. Range across illustration, dimensional and 3D treatments, and motion, reached for when the idea calls for it. Systems thinking, so a treatment repeats cleanly and launches don't require rebuilding everything from scratch. Marketing mindset. You want visuals that drive clicks, engagement, and conversions, and you're comfortable seeing how the work performed. Comfort working quickly across several projects with real launch dates.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
