Job Description
Big ideas have the power to change industries. At FIS, we bring those ideas to life through technology, collaboration and a shared commitment to progress. Here, your perspective matters, your growth is supported, and your work helps move the financial world forward. Join FIS and make your mark on the future of financial technology.
About the role:
As a Sales Executive for FIS Open OS Ledger, you will create new business for a modern, real-time ledger platform that enables the world’s most complex financial institutions to launch products faster, operate with greater resilience and modernize incrementally. This role is built for an exceptional commercial technologist who can engage with equal credibility across the CEO, CFO, CIO and principal architect. You will position the ledger as a trusted system of record and single source of truth across traditional fiat and emerging digital assets, supported by immutable transaction history and mathematical precision. Success requires the strategic rigor of a top-tier advisor, the technical depth of a platform technologist and the ownership mindset of a category-creating enterprise seller.
Your key responsibilities:
- Create and execute a market strategy for net-new ledger opportunities across banks and regulated financial institutions.
- Build executive relationships with CIO, CTO, COO, CFO, enterprise architecture, core modernization, deposits, lending, payments and operations leaders.
- Lead discovery around legacy core constraints, product-launch speed, real-time processing, reconciliation, resilience, auditability and operating cost.
- Position FIS Open OS Ledger as a real-time, composable and asset-agnostic system of record that can be adopted independently or within a broader modernization strategy.
- Build value propositions for new deposit and lending products, digital assets, embedded finance and incremental core transformation.
- Translate immutable ledgering, configurable product logic, event-driven reconciliation and API-first integration into measurable business outcomes.
- Own the full sales cycle—from prospecting and qualification through solution shaping, business case, pricing, negotiation and contract execution.
- Coordinate solution consulting, product, engineering, security, professional services, legal and executive sponsors throughout the pursuit.
- Maintain rigorous pipeline, account-planning and forecasting discipline while consistently achieving or exceeding revenue goals.
- Represent FIS in executive workshops, architecture sessions, industry events and partner engagements.
What you bring:
- 10+ years of exceptional performance in enterprise technology, cloud platforms, core banking, ledger infrastructure, fintech or technology-enabled transformation.
- A sustained record of top-quartile performance self-sourcing and closing complex, high-value platform or transformation opportunities.
- Strong knowledge of core banking, systems of record, double-entry accounting, real-time processing, APIs, cloud architecture and data integration.
- The ability to discuss ledger modernization credibly with both business executives and enterprise architects.
- Expert discovery, executive storytelling, financial justification, negotiation and closing skills.
- Experience coordinating technical validation, security review, implementation planning and commercial workstreams in parallel.
- Strong opportunity qualification and forecast discipline; experience with MEDDPICC or a comparable methodology.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience; willingness to travel as required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Selling or implementing a cloud-native, API-first core or ledger platform.
- Deposit, lending, payments, treasury, reconciliation or digital-asset operating models.
- Composable architecture, domain-driven design, event-driven systems or incremental core modernization.
- Established executive and architecture relationships within large financial institutions.
What we offer you:
At FIS, your career journey is yours to shape. We provide the tools, experiences and support to help you reach what's next.
Here’s what else we offer:
- Opportunities to make an impact in fintech
- Internal career growth opportunities
