Your Role and Impact

As a Production Controller, you will help keep manufacturing operations on track by managing production capacity, coordinating shop floor activity, and supporting the daily production plan. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering to resolve work order issues, remove constraints, and improve production flow.

Your work will directly support on-time delivery, efficient use of capacity, and clear communication of production priorities and risks across the Raleigh site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor production capacity and workload to support customer demand and site schedules.
  • Coordinate work order execution and help resolve shop floor issues that affect production flow.
  • Partner with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to address production constraints, nonconformances, and corrective actions.
  • Track production and planning metrics to identify performance gaps, schedule risks, and recovery needs.
  • Communicate production priorities, constraints, and recovery actions with operations and support teams.
  • Maintain visibility of open shop floor issues and coordinate follow-up through resolution.
  • Support daily production meetings and cross-functional coordination activities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, throughput, capacity utilization, and schedule execution.
  • Provide regular updates to site leadership on capacity, production performance, and execution risks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in manufacturing operations, production coordination, scheduling, planning, or shop floor support.
  • Understanding of production flow, work orders, capacity planning, and manufacturing execution.
  • Experience working with manufacturing, quality, engineering, or supply chain teams to resolve operational issues.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to analyze production metrics and identify risks to schedule, output, or capacity.
  • Proficiency with ERP or manufacturing systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • APICS CPIM training or certification.
  • Experience supporting engineered-to-order, project-based, or high-mix manufacturing operations.
  • Experience using production planning, scheduling, capacity-management, or manufacturing execution systems.
  • Experience supporting continuous-improvement initiatives focused on workflow, throughput, or on-time delivery.
  • Familiarity with quality systems, nonconformance processes, and corrective-action workflows.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
