This role leads projects through all phases of delivery, from early contractor involvement (ECI), pre-construction planning, and constructability reviews through engineering coordination, procurement, construction execution, commissioning, and project closeout. The Project Manager works closely with clients, engineering teams, procurement teams, subcontractors, field leadership, and internal project controls functions to ensure successful EPC project delivery.

Operating with a high level of autonomy, the Project Manager is accountable for safe, productive, and cost-effective execution while maintaining alignment across scope, schedule, quality, commercial objectives, and client expectations.

  • Lead project delivery activities from early contractor involvement (ECI) through construction completion and closeout.
  • Coordinate daily and weekly planning activities with crews, subcontractors, and site leadership.
  • Oversee mobilization activities including permitting, material coordination, and equipment scheduling.
  • Monitor project schedule performance and implement recovery plans when required.
  • Ensure alignment between field execution and overall project delivery strategy.

Engineering, Procurement & Construction Coordination

  • Coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities to support successful EPC project execution.
  • Track engineering deliverables and material procurement status to support construction sequencing.
  • Identify and escalate design, material, or execution constraints impacting field progress.
  • Ensure construction activities align with issued-for-construction drawings and project requirements.

Commercial Management & Cost Control

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track production, quantities, and subcontractor performance against scope and budget.
  • Support change management processes including scope validation, pricing, and client approvals.
  • Identify commercial risks and support mitigation strategies to protect project outcomes.

Safety & Environmental Leadership

  • Enforce company safety programs and ensure compliance across all field activities.
  • Lead safety engagement, field audits, and incident/near-miss reviews.
  • Promote proactive hazard identification and corrective action implementation.
  • Ensure environmental requirements are integrated into execution planning and subcontractor scopes.

Stakeholder & Client Management

  • Act as primary liaison for clients, Indigenous partners, regulators, and internal project stakeholders.
  • Lead project meetings, progress updates, and milestone reporting.
  • Manage issue resolution and maintain alignment between field execution and client expectations.
  • Coordinate communication between field leadership, engineering, procurement, and project controls teams.

Quality Assurance & Project Controls

  • Ensure quality systems, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and turnover requirements are implemented and completed.
  • Coordinate field verification, redlines, and as-built documentation.
  • Support project controls activities including progress tracking, reporting, and schedule updates.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and project quality standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • 5–8+ years of progressive project management experience in utility, civil, or infrastructure construction.
  • Experience managing projects through ECI, pre-construction, and EPC delivery phases required.
  • Strong background in field execution, construction coordination, and multi-discipline project delivery.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and changing site conditions.
  • Solid understanding of construction drawings, scopes of work, and contract requirements.
  • Proficient in project management systems such as Procore, SAP, MS Project, and related reporting tools.
  • Diploma or degree in construction management, engineering technology, or related field.
  • PMP, CET, or equivalent certification considered an asset.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel and support execution at active or remote project sites.

Additional Information:

  • Hybrid (GTA-based), but expect regular site presence
  • LOA provided
  • Fast-paced, execution-driven culture

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
