The posting

Be a crucial member of the Ops team supporting Fresh Prints’ supply chain (Permanent WFH)

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is a Philippines-based hiring only, and we prioritize candidates who live in or near Quezon City. Members of our Product Development Team live within this area to receive, check, and send physical garment samples when needed.

Fresh Prints is an NYC-based custom apparel company experiencing rapid year-over-year growth. You’ll join a team that helps drive our business growth by building and scaling a reliable supplier ecosystem and ensuring operational excellence across our supply chain.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, technically strong Sewing Pattern Maker to support the development and production of garments across our supplier network. In this role, you’ll be responsible for translating garment designs, technical specifications, measurements, and approved samples into accurate, production-ready sewing patterns.

You’ll directly report to our Sourcing Manager and work closely with our internal Design and Ops teams, as well as overseas garment manufacturers, to ensure patterns meet fit, construction, measurement, grading, and production requirements. You’ll also help troubleshoot pattern and construction issues during sampling and production, ensuring garments can be manufactured accurately and consistently at scale.

You’ll grow as Fresh Prints grows. You’ll get the support, ownership, and development opportunities needed to learn quickly, grow professionally, and make a meaningful impact.

Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate, production-ready sewing patterns based on technical specifications, measurements, design references, technical drawings, and approved samples.
  • Create and maintain pattern grading across required size ranges, ensuring consistent and proportional fit.
  • Review samples and fitting results and make pattern adjustments to address fit, measurement, and construction issues.
  • Apply knowledge of different fabric types, including woven, knit, stretch, lace, and elastic materials, to ensure patterns are suitable for the intended fabric and construction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and manufacturers to troubleshoot pattern, fit, sewing, and construction issues during sampling and production.
  • Interpret technical packs, measurement specifications, construction details, sketches, and approved samples and translate them into production-ready patterns.
  • Maintain accurate pattern files, revisions, measurements, and technical documentation, ensuring manufacturers are always working with the correct versions.
  • Prepare and share digital pattern files and relevant technical information with manufacturing partners for production.
  • Communicate asynchronously with overseas manufacturers to clarify pattern and construction requirements and resolve production issues.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pattern development, sampling, and production processes.
  • The unknown - we're always looking for new ways to improve, and we want you to take ownership of projects you believe can create value.

Technical Skills

  • Ideally 3+ years of experience in garment pattern making, preferably within an apparel manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, fitting, measurements, grading, and pattern development.
  • Experience creating production-ready patterns for sewn garments.
  • Proficiency in CAD pattern-making software such as Gerber AccuMark, Lectra, Optitex, or similar systems.
  • Experience with digital pattern grading and pattern modification.
  • Strong understanding of different fabric types and how fabric characteristics affect pattern development, fit, and construction.
  • Ability to interpret technical packs, measurement specifications, construction details, sketches, and approved samples.
  • Experience with apparel sampling and fitting is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with women streetwear apparel is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with 3D apparel software such as CLO3D or Browzwear is a plus.
  • Comfortable working with digital files and maintaining organized pattern documentation.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong understanding of garment construction and the ability to identify and resolve pattern-related production issues.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and pattern development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple pattern development projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with manufacturers and internal stakeholders in a remote environment.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with limited supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage revisions, deadlines, and multiple garment styles.
  • Reliable internet connection and a suitable work-from-home setup.
  • Willingness to work remotely with teams and manufacturers across different time zones.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
