The posting

Job Summary:

The NextGen Worship Lead (Support) role facilitates worship in Kids, Youth, and Young Adult environments at an assigned campus in partnership with the Campus Worship Pastor. This part-time permanent role cares for campus Next Gen worship teams, trains worship leaders and musicians, plans and schedules worship-related events, and leads worship. With support from the Regional Next Gen Associate Worship Pastor, the Team Lead carries the churchwide Next Gen worship standards into each campus environment.

Principal Job Responsibilities:

  • Builds and stewards the NextGen worship Serve Team at the campus: recruiting, training, scheduling, retention, and appreciation
  • Executes the set lists, Ableton/Playback sessions, and service plans provided by Next Gen Worship rather than creating a separate standard
  • Develops young worship leaders and musicians at the campus, and mentors students on the team
  • Runs rehearsals and pre-service preparation for NextGen environments at the campus
  • Partners with the Campus Worship Pastor and campus NextGen leadership on platform, scheduling, and shared needs
  • Raises local realities and needs to the Regional NextGen Associate Worship Pastor rather than absorbing them
  • Supports campus NextGen events, camps, and team nights
  • Is present and serving at weekend services and churchwide events as the ministry calendar requires
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

As a member of the Gateway Church team, this position is expected to support, recruit, and develop Serve Team members, and to serve alongside the broader team as ministry and organizational needs arise.

General Skills & Qualifications:

  • A clear passion for Jesus and a strong biblical foundation
  • A heart for students and kids, with the ability to lead worship in their environments
  • Musical craft and talent, with proficiency as a worship leader on voice and at least one instrument
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and retain volunteers
  • Able to take direction on standards from Central while owning execution locally
  • Consistently growing in craft, character, and leadership capacity
  • Professional in punctuality, communication, and appearance
  • Demonstrated emotional and relational intelligence
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to hold several priorities at once
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn and function within new software and systems

Education/Certification(s):

  • High school diploma or equivalent, and one or more years of worship leading experience — required
  • Experience leading kids or student worship — preferred
  • Prior experience in a multisite church environment — preferred

General Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Occasionally kneel or crouch
  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
  • Able to lift and move instruments and equipment up to 40 lbs, and available to work weekends and evenings as the ministry calendar requires

*This description is not all inclusive, and other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
