Wir suchen zum 15.01.2027 für den Standort Mannheim in der Abteilung Survey Design and Methodology (SDM), GESIS Panel eine*n

Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in (Postdoc) im Bereich Umfrageforschung (GESIS Panel)

(Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L, 100 % Arbeitszeit, zunächst befristet für 4 Jahre)

Die Abteilung Survey Design and Methodology (SDM) verfügt durch eigene Forschung und langjährige Erfahrung in der Beratung und Durchführung renommierter Umfrageprojekte über national wie international anerkannte Fachkompetenz im Bereich der Umfragemethodik.

Das GESIS Panel.dbd Digital Behavioral Data Sample (GP.dbd) ist Teil des GESIS Panels und bietet der sozialwissenschaftlichen Profession die Gelegenheit, kombinierte Erhebungen von Umfrage und digitalen Verhaltensdaten durchzuführen. Es ist geplant, das GESIS Panel 2029 zusammen mit anderen Erhebungen von GESIS in eine gemeinsame Erhebungsstruktur zu überführen. Die*der Stelleninhaber*in koordiniert den Betrieb des GESIS Panel.dbd Digital Behavioral Data Sample.

Ihr Aufgabengebiet:

  • Generelles Projektmanagement des GESIS Panel.dbd Digital Behavioral Data Sample (GP.dbd) und Steuerung aller Prozesse des GP.dbd entlang des Forschungsdatenzyklus; Sicherstellung der Datenqualität
  • Kooperation mit Kolleg*innen der Abteilung Computational Social Science (CSS) bei der Konzeption von Datenerhebungen, die über die klassische Umfrageforschung hinausgehen (z.B. Web Tracking, Smartphone Apps, Data Donation) und deren Verzahnung mit einzelnen Umfragewellen
  • Mitarbeit an der organisatorischen Integration der GP.dbd und GP.pop Stichproben sowie an der perspektivischen Weiterentwicklung des GESIS Panels im Rahmen einer GESIS-weiten gemeinsamen Erhebungsstruktur
  • Eigene Forschung zu umfragemethodischen Themen und deren Publikation und Präsentation sowie Einwerbung von Drittmitteln mit Fokus auf Forschung und forschungsbasierte Services

Ihr Profil:

  • Wissenschaftlicher Hochschulabschluss (Master oder vergleichbar) und überdurchschnittlich abgeschlossene Promotion in einem sozialwissenschaftlichen Fach (z.B. Soziologie, Psychologie, Politikwissenschaften, Survey Methodology) mit Schwerpunkt Umfragemethoden, bevorzugt Panel-basierte Umfragemethodik
  • Sehr gute Kenntnisse im Bereich Methoden der empirischen Sozialforschung, insbesondere Survey Methodology und Statistik, Erfahrung in der Durchführung von Panelbefragungen; von Vorteil sind Kenntnisse im Umgang mit und der Analyse von Digitalen Verhaltensdaten (Social-Media-Daten oder Sensordaten)
  • Sehr gute Kenntnisse im Umgang mit R und Kenntnisse in Python; von Vorteil: Kenntnisse in LimeSurvey, Git und SQLite
  • Fließende Deutsch- und sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
  • Proaktive und effiziente Arbeitsweise, Belastbarkeit, Steuerungskompetenz, ausgeprägte Kooperations- und Kommunikationsfähigkeit
