Sr. SW QA Engineer - FM QA

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to help validate Gigamon’s network visibility fabric products with a strong focus on automation. In this role, you will work as part of a cross-functional engineering team to design and execute system-level test strategies spanning functional, performance, scalability, and stress scenarios. You will develop and maintain automated test suites across UI/UX and backend services, particularly in virtualized and networking environments. Your work will enhance engineering productivity, expand automation coverage, and improve overall product quality for mission-critical customer deployments.

What you’ll do:

• Work closely with functional test teams to develop, refine, and improve overall testing approaches and strategies.
• Contribute to system testing strategies with a strong focus on automation, including customer use case–centric, scalability, and performance testing.
• Design, develop, and automate functional, usability, performance, scaling, and stress test suites.
• Deliver high-quality test automation code using frameworks such as Robot and Python, and tools such as Cypress, to expand and improve automation coverage.
• Build and maintain test beds that model customer use cases as well as scalability and performance scenarios, including virtualized environments.
• Identify and leverage opportunities to improve engineering productivity, tooling, and QA practices.

What you’ve done:

• Earned a BS in Computer Science or a related field.
• Built 3–6 years of hands-on quality, software development, and/or test automation experience in virtualization and networking domains.
• Gained practical experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Robot, Python, and Cypress.
• Demonstrated experience testing UI/UX performance and usability in web-based or management interfaces.
• Worked across various aspects of systems testing and applied established QA processes and methodologies.
• Developed knowledge of network management concepts and core protocols such as TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, IPv4, IPv6, NAT, and REST.
• Built a strong understanding of the TCP/IP stack, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL, and REST services, with hands-on experience testing these technologies.
• Validated deliverables in virtualized environments and created test beds for customer use case–centric, scalability, and performance testing.
