The posting

Role Overview

You will be the voice of the user and the steward of product-market fit at Vibecoderz. This isn’t a traditional roadmap role — this is category invention.

As CPO, you’ll sit at the intersection of users, technology, marketing, and culture. You’ll decode developer workflows, understand the competitive landscape, and set the direction for Vibecoderz as the default home for AI-native, experiential learning.

You’ll balance user empathy, technical depth, and market foresight. You’ll lead discovery, analytics, design, and product strategy — ensuring every release moves the needle toward mass adoption, strong retention, and market leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Product Strategy & Vision Define Vibecoderz’ long-term product vision around Superficient Learning. Balance immediate growth (activation, retention) with long-term differentiation.
  2. User Empathy & Market Research Lead continuous discovery with developers, students, and CTOs. Conduct competitor analysis across Notion, Replit, GitHub Copilot, and AI learning platforms.
  3. Roadmap Ownership Translate user needs, market insights, and tech constraints into a winning roadmap. Prioritize ruthlessly using data + intuition.
  4. Cross-Functional Leadership Partner with CTO (tech), CMO (growth), and Chief People (culture) to align org priorities. Drive execution rhythms with PMs, designers, and engineers.
  5. User Experience & Design Obsess over flow, friction, and latency. Push for a product experience as smooth as Linear, as modular as Notion, and as magical as V0.
  6. Data & Analytics Define and track core KPIs: activation, DAU/MAU, retention, engagement loops. Implement analytics stacks (Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA4) with event-based instrumentation.
  7. Go-to-Market Alignment Work with CMO to ensure product features map to growth campaigns. Use community insights (Discord, social) to close product feedback loops.
  8. Experimentation & Innovation Run rapid experiments: feature flags, A/B testing, user cohort testing. Incubate new product bets (Vibe Browser, Developer Graph, Byte Courses).
  9. Team Leadership Recruit, mentor, and grow the product + design org. Build rituals around discovery, reviews, and storytelling.
  10. Culture & Evangelism Champion Vibecoderz’ values: developer-first, speed, UX obsession. Represent the product vision with investors, partners, and the developer community.

Success Metrics

90 Days (Probation):

  • Deliver Vibecoderz’ 6-month roadmap (MVP → Pro plan growth).
  • Define 3–5 North Star KPIs (activation, retention, DAU/MAU).
  • Complete first competitor teardown (Notion, Replit, Copilot).
  • Launch one major user journey (Text → Course → Certification).

12 Months:

  • Achieve 100K+ MAUs and 20K+ paid users.
  • DAU/MAU >30% with >80% 12-month retention.
  • Vibecoderz recognized as the category-defining learning platform.
  • Product org scaled to 10+ PMs/designers with culture intact.

Must-Haves

  • 12–15+ years in product management/leadership.
  • Proven success scaling B2C SaaS or dev tool products to mass adoption.
  • Former developer or deep technical empathy with engineers.
  • Strong grasp of developer workflows, AI tools, and UX best practices.
  • Expertise in analytics-driven decision making.
  • Ability to translate market signals into winning product bets.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Prior founding CPO/VP Product experience.
  • Exit experience (scaled product through acquisition/IPO).
  • Global exposure: India + US/EU developer ecosystems.
  • Thought leadership (speaking, blogs, OSS contributions).

Tech & Product Stack Visibility

  • Product Management: Linear (roadmaps, sprints), Notion (PRDs, specs)
  • Frontend/UX: Next.js, Shadcn UI, Tailwind, Socket.IO
  • Backend: FastAPI, Cloud Run, API Gateway
  • AI Layer: ADK, Gemini Pro/Flash/Live, LangSmith, Pub/Sub
  • Data & Analytics: Firestore, Neo4j, Redis, Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA4
  • Infra & CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Terraform, OpenTelemetry
  • Community Signals: Discord, Twitter/X, LinkedIn

Assessment

Objective: Validate ability to craft product strategy, roadmap, and user experience that drive growth.

Challenge (Candidate PoC):

  1. Roadmap Strategy Draft a 6-month product roadmap that balances user growth (100K MAUs), paid conversion (20K users), and long-term differentiation.
  2. Competitor Analysis Conduct a teardown of Replit, Notion, and GitHub Copilot. Highlight 3 strengths, 3 weaknesses, and how Vibecoderz can win.
  3. User Journey Mapping Design a Text → Course → Certification flow (with wireframes). Show how analytics will track activation, engagement, and retention.
  4. Analytics & KPIs Propose 3–5 North Star KPIs for Year 1. Define instrumentation plan using Mixpanel/Amplitude.

Deliverables:

  • Product Roadmap (deck or doc).
  • Competitor Analysis Report.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
