Job Summary:

Direct, control and co-ordinate all Front Office operations to provide efficient, prompt, proactive and delightful services, ensuring Aloft by Marriott Singapore Novena achieves its financial, guest satisfaction and team member objectives. This role also offers opportunities for career growth, with the potential to progress to Director of Rooms.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Achieve maximum customer satisfaction scores in Marriott reviews, TripAdvisor, all customer feedback, mystery shoppers and Brand Service Audits.

2. Enhance team members' motivation, productivity, and progression.

3. Initiate proactive communication with VIPs, regular guests, within the department and external department colleagues.

4. Maximise room revenue by working closely with the Director of Revenue and Reservation Sales Manager in terms of up-sell/cross sell, add on benefits, room inventory & etc., to achieve or exceed the given budget.

5. Ensure all associates are trained in Fire, Life & Safety, Security and Emergency Responses in conjunction with the Director of Security and Director of Engineering.

6. Manage budget, capital expenditure, profit & loss, weekly forecasting, and cost management to achieve budgeted rooms profit.

7. Conduct performance evaluations, communicate performance expectations in accordance with job descriptions for each position, monitor progress.

8. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to brand standards and regulatory requirements.

9. Celebrate successes and publicly recognizes the contributions of team members.

10. Manage / run the operations of the department and be on duty in the absence of Hotel Manager.

11. Perform supervisory or executive functions such as influence or make decisions on manpower issues such as recruitment, discipline, termination of employment, assessment of performance and reward.
