About the Role: As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and scaling our core platform and features in close partnership with Product. You will leverage cutting-edge AI-assisted workflows and agentic development tools to accelerate delivery without sacrificing architectural integrity.

Requirements are often considered a measure of how equipped you are to do the job, but sometimes, they aren’t the only factor. If you don’t have nearly enough experience, or not all the skills, we’d still like to hear from you. This could be the perfect fit for you and us.

  • Strong track record in backend system architecture, distributed systems, and database design.
  • Familiarity with modern AI developer tools and pragmatic engineering practices.
  • Deep understanding of monitoring, observability, and zero-downtime deployments.
  • Excellent knowledge of software design and scalable architecture.
  • Experience with testing methodologies - unit-testing, TDD, mocking, etc.
  • Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.
  • Independent, fast learner, and excited about learning new technologies.
  • Proactive team player with a desire to impact our team, our product, and our customers.
  • Experience with AWS or an equivalent cloud platform is a plus.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own features end-to-end: lead technical design, write high-performance code, drive rigorous peer reviews, and manage deployment and observability.
  • Architect resilient, scalable microservices handling high-throughput workloads.
  • Champion AI tooling (e.g., agentic IDEs, test generation, workflow automation) to maximize development velocity across the team.
  • Ship continuously in a fully automated CI/CD environment deploying to production dozens of times a day.
