Are you ready to drive meaningful impact across a global organization? Hitachi Energy is looking for a strategic and results-oriented Strategic Procurement Lead to join our team. In this role, you will lead high-value sourcing initiatives, build strong supplier partnerships, and help shape procurement strategies that support operational excellence and sustainable growth.

As a trusted procurement expert, you will work closely with stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, finance, and legal functions to identify innovative sourcing solutions, optimize supplier performance, and deliver measurable business value. How you'll make an impact

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business and global objectives.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including supplier identification, RFI/RFP management, negotiation, and contract execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers to enhance quality, performance, and value.
  • Analyze spending trends and identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and project requirements.
  • Monitor supplier performance, conduct business reviews, and drive corrective actions when needed.
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Mentor procurement team members and promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
  • Demonstrated success leading supplier negotiations and delivering sustainable cost savings.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and global sourcing practices.
  • Experience with procurement systems such as SAP Ariba, Oracle, or similar platforms, along with advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
