The Opportunity

As a Warehouse Manager with Hitachi Energy, you will have the opportunity to lead the startup and development of a new warehouse operation supporting our power electronics testing lab and service activities.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys building operations from the ground up. You will help design the warehouse layout and material flow, establish processes and controls, implement inventory management practices leveraging SAP, and build a team and operating culture focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

You will collaborate across the organization to create a scalable warehouse operation capable of supporting the evolving needs of the business.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Lead the startup of a new warehouse operation, including layout design, material flow definition, and establishment of standard operating procedures, policies, and controls.
  • Develop and implement warehouse processes for receiving, storage, kitting, picking, packing, and shipping to support power electronics testing lab and service activities.
  • Ensure accurate inventory management and control using SAP, including material master setup, inventory transactions, cycle counting, and reconciliation.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics, partnering with internal stakeholders and external logistics providers to meet facility needs and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain compliance with Hitachi Energy internal policies and applicable regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team while fostering a strong culture of safety, quality, and integrity.
  • Establish, monitor, and improve warehouse performance through KPIs, data analysis, and Lean principles.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, cost optimization, space utilization, inventory accuracy, and service levels.
  • Apply risk assessments to identify and evaluate operational, safety, and compliance risks and support data-driven process changes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support audits and maintain effective governance, documentation, and controls across warehouse and inventory operations.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing warehouse or logistics operations within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated warehouse startup experience, including opening a new facility and establishing procedures, policies, controls, and operational workflows.
  • Strong SAP experience related to inventory management, material movements, logistics, and reporting.
  • Solid understanding of inventory control practices, cycle counting, material flow, and warehouse management systems.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to engage, develop, and motivate teams.
  • Experience using risk assessments to identify operational risks, evaluate the impact of process changes, and implement appropriate mitigation strategies within warehouse or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience applying KPIs, data analysis, and Lean or continuous improvement methodologies to improve warehouse performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven mindset, with the ability to operate both strategically and hands-on.
  • Experience within the power, energy, electrical manufacturing, or related industrial sector is preferred but not required.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
