About Dr. Oetker

Dr. Oetker is a private German food company that was founded in 1891 in Bielefeld, Germany. Today, the company operates in more than 40 countries and has over 16,500 employees worldwide. Dr. Oetker produces many different types of food, including frozen pizza, baking products and desserts. Some of its well-known brands are Ristorante, Suprema, Bistro and Vitalis. The company also sells baking products under the Dr. Oetker brand, such as baking powder, cake mixes and decorating products. Dr. Oetker adapts its products to the tastes and preferences of consumers in different countries.

In the Nordic & Baltic region, Dr. Oetker operates across eight markets and serves more than 30 million of consumers every day. The region is characterized by strong local businesses, ambitious growth plans and close collaboration across functions and countries. As part of this continued development, Dr. Oetker is looking for a Head of Marketing Nordic/Baltic to lead and strengthen the regional marketing agenda.

About the Role

Few marketing leadership roles offer the opportunity to influence eight markets, shape regional strategy and sit at the centre of commercial decision-making. This is one of them.

As Head of Marketing Nordic/Baltic, you will be responsible for shaping the regional commercial agenda through brand strategy, category development, consumer understanding and innovation. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and serving as a member of the Regional Management Team, you will play a key role in defining priorities, driving growth initiatives and ensuring that regional and local activities are aligned with the company’s broader strategic ambitions.

Operating across eight markets, you will work at the intersection of Marketing, Sales, Category & Insights. You will lead a regional team and collaborate closely with local market organizations, while maintaining a strong connection to international stakeholders and global functions. This role offers a rare combination of strategic influence, people leadership and international exposure, providing the opportunity to make a tangible impact on both business performance and long-term brand development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the regional marketing and category strategy across the Nordic & Baltic region, translating international priorities into commercially relevant regional initiatives.
  • Lead, coach and develop the regional Marketing organization in close cooperation with Category & Insights and Sales, creating alignment, shared best practices and stronger capabilities across markets.
  • Strengthening the Dr. Oetker brand portfolio while ensuring the right balance between regional scale, local market needs and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Drive category growth through deep consumer and shopper understanding, leveraging market insights to identify opportunities and support commercial decision-making.
  • Lead regional innovation initiatives and launch excellence, partnering closely with local teams as well as international Marketing, Innovation and R&D stakeholders.
  • Build a stronger data- and insight-driven culture, ensuring that consumer, category and commercial insights are integrated into key strategic decisions.
  • Optimize marketing effectiveness and investment priorities, balancing brand-building activities with measurable business outcomes.
  • With your marketing team secure and strengthen the impact of the Nordic & Baltic region in international forums and contribute actively to regional and global strategic discussions.

About You

We are looking for an experienced marketing leader who combines strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen. You have a genuine interest in consumers, brands and category development, but equally understand the commercial realities that drive sustainable business growth.

Your background includes:

  • Extensive experience within Marketing, Brand Management, Category Management or Commercial Leadership, preferably from an international FMCG environment.
  • A proven track record of driving growth through strong brand building, portfolio management and commercially sound decision-making.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and navigating complex stakeholder landscapes in matrix organizations.
  • Strong capabilities within consumer insights, category management, innovation and portfolio strategy.
  • Leadership experience with a passion for developing people, building high-performing teams and creating alignment across markets and functions.
  • A relevant university degree within Marketing, Business Administration, Economics or a related discipline.

Beyond your experience, you are an engaging and influential leader who creates momentum around common goals. You build credibility quickly, communicate with clarity and thrive in an international environment where collaboration, curiosity and business impact go hand in hand. You are equally comfortable discussing long-term strategic priorities with senior leaders as you are challenging assumptions and driving execution with operational teams.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to take on one of the most influential marketing and commercial leadership roles in the Nordic & Baltic organization.

You will join a business with strong brands, an ambitious growth agenda and a genuine commitment to developing both people and capabilities. The role offers a unique platform to shape the regional marketing direction, influence senior decision-making and work closely with stakeholders across markets and international functions.

For the right candidate, it is a chance to leave a lasting mark on the future development of the region and some of the most recognized brands in the category.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
