The Senior Transition Manager is responsible for leading large and complex transition engagements and ensuring successful delivery of transition objectives across multiple workstreams, functions, or delivery locations. The role drives transition solution execution and partners with account, delivery, operations, and client leadership teams to achieve business outcomes and operational readiness.

The Senior Transition Manager operates with a high degree of independence and is responsible for managing complex stakeholder environments, driving governance, mentoring junior Transition Managers, and contributing to the development of scalable transition solutions and best practices.

1. Lead complex transition projects or programs across multiple workstreams, towers transition projects or programs across multiple workstreams, towers, or delivery centers.

2. Develop and manage integrated transition plans, governance structures, dependencies, and delivery milestones.

3. Drive transition execution while ensuring alignment to contractual obligations, budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

4. Serve as the primary transition lead for clients, account teams, and internal stakeholders for assigned engagements.

5. Lead governance meetings, stakeholder alignment sessions, and executive-level governance meetings, stakeholder alignment sessions, and executive-level status reporting.

6. Own and drive mitigation and resolution plans for complex risks, issues, and dependencies.

7. Manage change requests, scope impacts, financial implications, and transition decision-making.

8. Partner with solutioning, delivery, operations, and support functions to ensure transition readiness.

9. Contribute to the design and validation of solutions during mobilization and delivery phases.

10. Guide process-specific transition planning, including knowledge transfer, operational readiness, and stabilization activities.

11. Mentor and coach Transition Managers and provide functional leadership across project teams.

12. Drive adoption of digital tools, reporting automation, and process improvement initiatives.

13. Support account growth by identifying delivery improvement opportunities and transition efficiencies.

14. Ensure compliance with IBM transition methodologies, controls, and governance standards.

15. Participate in organizational initiatives, lessons learned activities, and best practice development across global transition teams.

Job Qualifications: 1. 5+ years of experience in transition management, solutioning, or large-scale project delivery.

2. Strong expertise in project and transition management methodologies.

3. Experience leading complex, multi-workstream transitions across functions or geographies.

4. Cross-tower and cross-delivery center experience required.

5. Strong client and stakeholder management capability.

6. Experience developing transition solutions, delivery approaches, and governance models.

7. Strong risk, issue, change, and financial management skills.

8. Functional expertise in one or more domains such as HR, F&A, SCM, or Customer Transformation is preferred.

9. Test management and transformation experience are advantageous.
