The posting

Our client is seeking a Junior Technical Analyst to join its Technical Compliance function.

The successful candidate will support the assessment of applications submitted by regulated entities and assist with technical compliance reviews, audits and other supervisory activities. The role involves reviewing systems, technical infrastructure, information security controls and supporting documentation to assess compliance with applicable regulatory and technical requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in technology, information systems and regulatory compliance who is looking to develop their career within a structured and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review applications and supporting technical documentation submitted by regulated entities, assessing areas including operational procedures, information security controls, technical systems and relevant agreements.
  • Support Technical Analysts with ongoing post-licensing compliance and supervisory activities.
  • Review compliance audit reports prepared by independent third-party service providers.
  • Assist with on-site compliance audits, which may occasionally involve both local and international travel.
  • Participate in supervisory reviews and other regulatory engagements when required.
  • Review documentation submitted following compliance assessments and coordinate with relevant internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor the technical compliance of regulated entities and provide appropriate findings and recommendations.
  • Support the completion of inspection and review assignments, ensuring observations and recommendations are appropriately documented.
  • Assist with the preparation and finalisation of compliance reports.
  • Identify potential areas of non-compliance, communicate findings to relevant stakeholders and escalate matters internally where necessary.
  • Follow up on identified issues to ensure appropriate corrective measures are implemented within agreed timeframes.
  • Review information security incident reports, including incidents affecting the confidentiality, integrity or availability of customer-related information.
  • Liaise with regulated entities to obtain further information or clarification regarding technical or information security matters.
  • Review applications relating to new or amended systems, products, service providers, domains and operational verticals.
  • Support the initiation and review of system audits and technical assessments.
  • Participate in meetings with prospective licence applicants where required.
  • Assist with drafting detailed reports, internal memoranda and other technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with other internal departments to support broader regulatory and compliance objectives.
  • Undertake other related duties as required by management.

Requirements

  • Diploma at MQF Level 5 or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting or another relevant discipline.
  • Strong interest in technology, IT systems and technical compliance.
  • Willingness to work towards a recognised IT audit qualification, such as CISA or equivalent.
  • Ability to identify potential areas of risk and clearly communicate findings and recommendations, both verbally and in writing.
  • Previous exposure to information systems, IT auditing or financial auditing would be considered an advantage, although candidates looking to develop their career within the IT and technical compliance field are also encouraged to apply.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while managing multiple assignments and priorities.
  • Comfortable working within a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, motivated and proactive, with the ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
