Job Description

Our client, an AI research and safety company, is hiring contract Safeguards Enforcement Operations Specialists. The role protects the integrity of the client’s AI systems: you’ll label data, review user interactions, enforce policy guidelines, and work across teams to keep improving safety mechanisms. This group is expanding the human review behind the client’s access and enforcement programs. Case volume is rising ahead of the automation that will eventually absorb much of it, and appeals and account compromise cases carry firm turnaround expectations. Every hire works shared review queues as a generalist and also anchors one specialty track. The AI research access and restricted-region tracks call for extra judgment.

Core responsibilities (shared across Safeguards Enforcement roles)

  • Review customer signals, user exchanges, and code to identify potential policy violations.
  • Apply established Safeguards workflows and policy guidelines with precision and care.
  • Work with Strategy Analysts, Policy Managers, and Threat Intelligence Investigators to spot emerging trends, highlight policy gaps, and flag content for classifier refinement.
  • Write thorough weekly reports on operational workflows.
  • Handle customer communications and appeals about policy enforcement.
  • Support surge review and content labeling when the team needs it.
  • Triage and respond to cross-functional requests with timely help and insight.

Specialty Roles they're hiring for:

  1. AI Research Access & Abuse. Review access requests tied to AI research use cases and judge whether the stated research is credible.
  2. Restricted Regions & National Security. Handle access decisions and offboarding for restricted regions and national-security-sensitive cases.
  3. Account Compromise. Investigate compromised accounts and leaked credentials, and work remediation with customers.
  4. Enforcement Appeals. Review appeals of enforcement actions and recommend upholding or reversing them, with a written rationale.
  5. Account Abuse & Ban Evasion. Investigate returning accounts and clusters of related accounts, weighing multiple signals to decide on linkage and action.

  • Proactive and able to work independently.
  • Meets deadlines consistently with high-quality work.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication.
  • Thrives on a collaborative team.
  • Sharp eye for detail and a systematic approach to complex tasks.
  • Genuine interest in AI safety and ethical technology development.

Specialty requirements

  1. AI Research Access & AbuseRequired: policy-driven decision making, plus enough machine learning familiarity to evaluate a research use case. Strong backgrounds: trust & safety or policy at an AI lab, ML-adjacent operations, or research program or grants administration.
  2. Restricted Regions & National SecurityRequired: sanctions or export controls experience. Strong backgrounds: sanctions screening, export controls, trade compliance, or fintech KYC/KYB.
  3. Account CompromiseRequired: hands-on account takeover or credential compromise casework. Strong backgrounds: security operations, incident response, or fraud ATO teams.
  4. Enforcement AppealsRequired: willingness to overturn a prior decision when the evidence warrants it. Strong backgrounds: trust & safety appeals queues or customer-facing dispute resolution.
  5. Account Abuse & Ban EvasionRequired: experience judging account linkage from multiple signals. Strong backgrounds: fraud and risk analysis, marketplace or payments risk, recidivism, or multi-accounting work. Preferred: SQL or link-analysis tools.

Preferred (all Safeguards Enforcement roles)

  • Experience in content moderation, Trust & Safety, Safeguards, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with policy enforcement on digital platforms.
  • Understanding of AI ethics and responsible technology deployment.
  • Background analyzing user behavior and identifying potential risks.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
