Apprenticeship as a Commercial Clerk EFZ in the Construction and Living sector in Bern from August 2027

Join the team. Become an HGC member!

Since 1899, the cooperative HG COMMERCIALE (HGC), with its approximately 850 employees today, has been one of the most important service providers in the Swiss construction industry. The mix makes the difference: We value the experience of our long-standing HGC professionals from various professions just as much as young talents, whom we promote internally and externally. Our culture is open, fair and honest, and down-to-earth in the best sense. We rely on mutual trust. Each individual is expected to take responsibility and contribute ideas, because we want to move forward together and shape the future of the construction industry.

Your area of responsibility

You will carry out the typical administrative and business management tasks of a construction wholesale company, that is, tasks that keep our daily operations running and improve them. This can range from simple office tasks to demanding, complex project work.

You will advise customers personally or by telephone/email and convince them of our products and services.

You will be deployed in different departments to learn as broad a spectrum of commercial tasks as possible (for example sales, internal service, tendering, HR, accounting, administration, shop, exhibition).

If necessary, you can be assigned to another location.

What you bring

Enthusiasm and enjoyment for work in an open, fair and honest environment.

Joy in advising, organising and dealing with people.

Interest in our products and the construction world.

Team spirit, reliability and independence.

What we offer you

Individual support from your trainer and a cool team

Family-like corporate culture (informal "Du" culture)

We celebrate festivals as they come, and some are exclusively for apprentices

You benefit from various discounts with our leisure and product partners

Support and various career opportunities after the apprenticeship

Our locations are very well connected to public transport and easily accessible

We cover the costs of your school books, make a generous contribution to your school laptop and participate in many other training-related offers such as support courses, language courses, various diplomas, etc.

Simply an exciting and varied apprenticeship

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

The numbers game

More applications. More interviews.

Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting and paid once. Send enough of them and the law of large numbers finds you the job.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.

Do you really apply for me?

Yes, on the employer's own form, the hardest ones included. Where a question needs you, you answer it right there and AI suggests the best answer. Don't want us applying from our IP addresses? Use our Chrome extension: we apply straight from your own browser.

Is it a subscription?

No. You pay once per CV, from $25. Every application goes out with its own CV, written for that posting.
