Who are we? Alpha Mobility SA (AM Group) is a dynamic player in the Swiss automotive industry, specialized in the import and distribution of electric, hybrid and combustion vehicles from innovative brands such as Forthing, BAW and SERES.
With a network of more than 25 dealers and partners across Switzerland, we are experiencing strong growth and are building a modern, agile automotive organization with a strong focus on new technologies.
Our operations are highly international. We work on a daily basis with our manufacturers in China, logistics providers and ports across Europe, as well as our dealer network throughout Switzerland.
As part of the continued development of our Operations department, we are looking for an :
Automotive Logistics Coordinator - 80 to 100%
In this position, you will be responsible for coordinating and monitoring the complete logistics flow of our vehicles, from the factory in China through Europe and Switzerland to final delivery to our dealer partners.
You will act as the central operational interface between manufacturers, freight forwarders, shipping companies, ports, transport providers, internal teams and our Swiss dealer network.
Your Responsibilities International Vehicle Logistics : - Coordinate vehicle logistics from our manufacturers in China to the export ports; - Organize and monitor sea freight from China to Europe; - Follow vessels, shipments, ETDs, ETAs and vehicle arrivals; - Coordinate vehicle reception and operations at European ports; - Coordinate any required port operations, treatments, storage and vehicle release; - Organize onward transportation from Europe to Switzerland; - Coordinate final vehicle deliveries from Switzerland to our dealer partners; - Ensure smooth coordination between all parties involved throughout the logistics chain.
Vehicle Tracking & Operations : - Monitor the status and location of all vehicles throughout the entire logistics process; - Maintain our internal vehicle tracking platform and ensure that all information iscontinuously and accurately updated; - Track VINs, current location, logistics status, ETD, ETA, completed milestones andnext steps; - Ensure that Sales, Operations and Management always have access to reliable and upto-date vehicle information; - Proactively identify delays, inconsistencies or potential bottlenecks and take the necessary actions; - Follow up with logistics providers and other stakeholders until issues are resolved; - Coordinate priorities according to vehicle availability, customer orders and dealer requirements.
Documentation & Coordination : - Collect, verify and centralize logistics and transport documentation; - Coordinate required documents with manufacturers, freight forwarders, ports and logistics providers; - Ensure that vehicles and their corresponding documentation progress correctly through each stage of the logistics chain; - Maintain clear and structured documentation for each shipment and vehicle; - Communicate proactively with internal teams regarding delays, changes and important logistics developments.
Processes & Digitalization : - Contribute to the continuous improvement of our vehicle logistics processes; - Help develop and optimize our internal logistics and vehicle tracking platform; - Identify opportunities to automate repetitive logistics and reporting tasks; - Improve the quality, reliability and accessibility of logistics data; - Monitor logistics lead times, costs and supplier performance; - Contribute to building a scalable logistics organization capable of supporting AM Group's continued growth.
Your Profile : - We are primarily looking for a structured, reliable and proactive person who enjoys coordinating complex operations and taking ownership of processes from beginning to end.
Education & Experience : - Education or professional experience in logistics, supply chain, international transportation, import/export or a related field; - Previous experience in international logistics, maritime transport or freight forwarding is an advantage; - Experience in the automotive industry, with an importer, manufacturer or logistics provider, is a strong advantage; - Experience coordinating multiple international suppliers and logistics partners is appreciated.
Skills : - Excellent organizational and coordination skills; - Strong ability to manage a large number of vehicles, shipments and stakeholders simultaneously; - Very good command of English, both written and spoken, essential for daily communication with our manufacturers and international partners; - French and/or German are important assets for communication within Switzerland; - Very good IT skills and strong affinity with digital tools; - Confident use of Excel and database or logistics management platforms; - Comfortable using AI tools such as ChatGPT and interested in integrating automation and artificial intelligence into operational processes; - Ability to structure, analyze and maintain large amounts of operational data accurately.
