The posting

Das Finanzdepartement der Stadt Zürich steuert als Querschnittsorganisation, die Abteilungen Finanzen, Human Resources Management, IT, Liegenschaften, Steuern und Wohnbauförderung. Es gestaltet somit die Zukunft der Stadt Zürich als attraktiven Wohn-, Arbeits- und Wirtschaftsstandort massgeblich mit. Für die Dienstabteilung Finanzverwaltung suchen wir infolge des gesundheitsbedingten Rücktritts des Direktors per Frühjahr 2027 eine Nachfolge.

Aufgaben ##

  • Leitung der Dienstabteilung sowie deren fachliche, betriebswirtschaftliche und digitale Weiterentwicklung.
  • Gesamtverantwortung für die zentralen Finanz- und Steuerungsaufgaben der Stadt (Finanz- und Aufgabenplanung, Budget, Jahresrechnung, Finanzcontrolling).
  • Sicherstellung einer nachhaltigen und vorausschauenden Finanzplanung.
  • Entwicklung strategischer Entscheidungsgrundlagen für Stadtrat, Gemeinderat und weitere politische Gremien sowie Mitgestaltung der städtischen Finanzpolitik.
  • Führung der Geschäftsleitung und der direkt unterstellten Mitarbeitenden sowie Verantwortung als Anstellungsinstanz für rund ca. 50 Mitarbeitende.

Profil ##

  • Abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium (UNI/ETH) in Betriebs- oder Volkswirtschaftslehre, ergänzt durch Weiterbildungen in Führung und Management, öffentlichen Finanzen sowie Digitalisierung
  • Umfassende finanzwirtschaftliche und strategische Kompetenz sowie ausgeprägte analytische und konzeptionelle Fähigkeiten
  • Mehrjährige, ausgewiesene Führungserfahrung und die Fähigkeit, eine Organisation strategisch und zukunftsorientiert weiterzuentwickeln
  • Fundiertes Verständnis für politische Prozesse, Erfahrung in der Zusammenarbeit mit politischen Behörden
  • Überzeugende Kommunikations-, Verhandlungs- und Repräsentationskompetenz sowie ein sicheres Auftreten
