The posting

As the Industry Development Manager (f/m/d) - Waste & Circular Economy, you will play an integral role in shaping and growing Siemens' presence in one of the world's most dynamic and purpose-driven markets. The waste and recycling sector - spanning smart waste infrastructure, material recovery, waste-to-energy, and circular economy solutions - represents a significant and fast-growing opportunity, and Siemens is committed to becoming a leading technology partner within it.

This is your opportunity to build something meaningful. You will be the driving force behind Siemens' waste vertical commercial growth, working directly alongside regional sales teams across Europe and the US to convert market access into closed deals and long-term customer relationships. Bringing deep waste domain expertise - across processes, procurement cycles, techno-commercial dynamics, and key industry players - you will be the credible expert voice that customers trust and that internal teams rely on to win.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial market developer who combines genuine waste industry knowledge with a relentless commercial drive - who thrives on building pipeline, opening doors, and closing business in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

What we offer you

  • Attractive remuneration package
  • 30 leave days and a variety of flexible working models that allow time off for yourself and your family
  • Share matching programs to become a shareholder of Siemens AG
  • Continuous Learning: Benefit from specialized training and daily challenges to keep your expert knowledge up-to-date
  • Innovative Environment: Be part of a team that values innovation and continuous improvement

Since each of over 300,000 employees feels that other benefits are particularly important, and we cannot list our entire benefit portfolio here, you can find more information-here.

The individual benefits are subject to regulatory, contractual, or corporate conditions.

You'll make an impact by

  • Develop and execute the waste vertical go-to-market strategy, including portfolio positioning and the market introduction of Siemens' waste solutions
  • Drive pipeline creation and execution as the primary waste expert counterpart to regional sales teams, embedding directly in priority markets to accelerate opportunities from qualification to close
  • Lead and support customer engagements with major waste operators, municipalities, and OEMs, bringing the process knowledge, procurement understanding, and techno-commercial fluency to engage at every level
  • Coordinate cross-Business Unit activities to deliver a unified Siemens approach to the waste market and maximize share of wallet across the full waste value chain through verticalized offerings
  • Translate industry knowledge into sales enablement, equipping regional teams with the waste-specific tools, language, and insights needed to compete and win
  • Translate deep waste industry knowledge into portfolio requirements to shape Siemens' offering development and ensure solutions are positioned to win in the waste market
  • Monitor market trends and competitor positioning to keep Siemens' approach relevant, compelling, and differentiating
  • Feed customer and market insights into offering development, helping shape the next generation of Siemens solutions for the waste sector

This is how you'll win us over

  • Education: Completed vocational training with further qualification as master/technician, extensive expertise and long-term, diverse professional experience; alternatively, completed bachelor's degree with long-term professional experience or completed master's degree with several years of professional experience
  • Experience and Skills:
  • Deep waste domain expertise - hands-on process knowledge combined with a strong understanding of industry procurement cycles, techno-commercial dynamics, and key stakeholder landscapes
  • A commercial mindset - proven track record of pipeline development, opportunity management, and closing business in complex, multi-stakeholder industrial environments
  • Customer credibility confident and compelling in senior and technical engagements with waste operators, municipalities, system integrators, and OEMs
  • Entrepreneurial drive - comfortable operating in a space that is being actively built, with the initiative to create structure and momentum where neither yet fully exists
  • Willingness to travel regularly across priority regions
  • Languages: English mandatory; German and other languages a strong advantage

You are much more than your qualifications, and we believe in the potential of every single candidate. We look forward to getting to know you!

At Siemens, we believe that feeling valued and included is the foundation for doing great work. That-s why we aim to create an inclusive workplace where everyone feels a sense of belonging, and where individual perspectives and experiences are celebrated. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
