Mansioni: - questo ruolo combina attività didattiche, leadership pedagogica, progettazione dei programmi di studio e formazione del personale, garantendo la coerenza con il modello scolastico bilingue e a doppio percorso (IB e A-Level) - Sviluppo del piano di studi e dei programmi: guidare la progettazione e l'attuazione di un piano di studi integrato che comprenda inglese, discipline umanistiche e apprendimento interdisciplinare. Favorire l'allineamento tra i quadri di riferimento dell'IB e i percorsi di studio dell'A-Level. Sviluppare modelli di progressione per le classi dalla quinta alla nona, al fine di garantire rigore accademico e continuità - coaching didattico e sviluppo del personale: fornire coaching al personale docente attraverso osservazioni strutturate, feedback e attività di sviluppo professionale. Sostenere l'attuazione di un insegnamento differenziato e di piani di sostegno agli studenti. Condurre corsi di formazione interna in linea con le migliori pratiche internazionali - responsabilità accademica: supervisionare gli standard accademici, le procedure di valutazione e il monitoraggio dei progressi degli studenti. Collaborare con la dirigenza alla definizione di strategie di miglioramento basate sui dati. Contribuire alla pianificazione accademica e alla rendicontazione a livello scolastico - sviluppo e sostegno degli studenti: promuovere il benessere e il progresso accademico degli studenti attraverso strutture di orientamento e tutoraggio. Collaborare con i team di sostegno all'apprendimento per attuare strategie personalizzate. Rafforzare il coinvolgimento degli studenti attraverso approcci didattici innovativi e orientati alla pratica - impegno didattico: fornire un insegnamento di alta qualità nelle materie di inglese, scienze umane e/o matematica nella scuola primaria superiore e nella scuola media. Dare l'esempio nelle migliori pratiche didattiche in classe

Requisiti: - titoli di studio riconosciuti nel campo dell'insegnamento (K–8 / K–12 o equivalenti) - almeno 10 anni di esperienza nell'insegnamento a livello internazionale - comprovata esperienza di leadership (ad es. capo dipartimento, responsabile di programma) - esperienza in contesti scolastici internazionali - comprovata capacità nello sviluppo di programmi didattici e nel coaching didattico - solida preparazione nell'insegnamento dell'inglese, delle discipline umanistiche e delle materie interdisciplinari - esperienza nel sostegno a studenti provenienti da contesti diversi e multilingue - ottima conoscenza della lingua italiana ed inglese

The International School of Switzerland is appointing a Academic Lead – Upper Primary e Middle School (Curriculum, Coaching & Innovation) to lead the academic, pedagogical, and structural development of Grades 4/5–9 during a critical growth phase of the school.

This role combines teaching, instructional leadership, curriculum design, and staff coaching, ensuring alignment with the school’s bilingual and dual-pathway model (IB and A-Level).

Key Responsibilities: 1. Curriculum & Programme Development Lead the design and implementation of an integrated curriculum across English, Humanities, and interdisciplinary learning. Support alignment between IB frameworks and A-Level pathways. Develop progression models across Grades 5–9 to ensure academic rigor and continuity

2. Instructional Coaching & Staff Development Coach teaching staff through structured observation, feedback, and professional development Support implementation of differentiated instruction and student support plans Lead internal training aligned with international best practice

3. Academic Leadership Oversee academic standards, assessment practices, and student progress tracking Collaborate with leadership on data-informed improvement strategies Contribute to school-wide academic planning and reporting

4. Student Development & Support Support student well-being and academic progress through advisory and coaching structures Work with learning support teams to implement individualized strategies Strengthen student engagement through innovative, real-world learning approaches

5. Teaching Commitment Deliver high-quality teaching in English, Humanities, and/or Mathematics within Upper Primary and Middle School Model best practice classroom instruction

Position requirements: Recognized teaching qualifications (K–8 / K–12 or equivalent) Minimum 10+ years international teaching experience Demonstrated leadership experience (e.g., department head, programme lead) Experience in international school environments Proven ability in curriculum development and instructional coaching Strong background in English, Humanities, and interdisciplinary teaching Experience supporting diverse and multilingual learners
