**Steuerverwaltung**

Die Steuerverwaltung Basel-Landschaft trägt die Verantwortung für die korrekte Erhebung der Steuern von juristischen und natürlichen Personen. Ihre Mitarbeitenden prüfen Steuererklärungen, führen die Veranlagungen durch und sorgen für den Einzug der Staats- sowie der direkten Bundessteuer. Zudem erfolgt im Auftrag auch der Bezug der Gemeindesteuern. Zu den weiteren Aufgaben zählen die Veranlagung und der Einzug von Grundstückgewinnsteuern, Handänderungssteuern sowie Erbschafts- und Schenkungssteuern, ebenso wie die Bearbeitung der Quellensteuern. Darüber hinaus gewährleistet die Steuerverwaltung eine einheitliche Veranlagungspraxis im Kanton, indem sie die Gemeindesteuerämter fachlich betreut und unterstützt.
