Sie möchten Windfelder modellieren, Daten analysieren und angewandte Forschung im Bereich der erneuerbaren Energien aktiv mitgestalten? Für unsere Forschungstätigkeiten im Fachbereich Wind Energy Innovation suchen wir eine engagierte Persönlichkeit, die Windmodellierungen und "Downscaling"-Ansätze für bergiges Gelände weiterentwickelt, Forschungs- und Industrieprojekte unterstützt und wissenschaftliche Ergebnisse praxisnah aufbereitet. Das IET Institut für Energietechnik an der OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule befasst sich mit zukunftsrelevanten Fragestellungen rund um erneuerbare Energien und Energieeffizienz. Im Fachbereich Wind Energy Innovation arbeiten wir an anspruchsvollen Themen für eine digitale und erneuerbare Energiezukunft. Weitere Informationen finden Sie unter Windenergie IET | OST. ###

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Modellierung von Windfeldern in bergigem Gelände mit hoher räumlich-zeitlicher Auflösung
  • Bewertung der Genauigkeit bestehender Modelle und Methoden
  • Evaluation und Weiterentwicklung recheneffizienter Methoden auf Basis von "Downscaling"-Ansätzen
  • Mitarbeit bei Forschungs- und Innovationsanträgen
  • Unterstützung bei wissenschaftlichen Veröffentlichungen
  • Mitarbeit in Industrieprojekten im Bereich Windenergie und Windmodellierung
  • Unterstützung bei studentischen Projekten und kleineren Tätigkeiten als Lehrassistent/in
  • Mitgestaltung und Teilnahme an Seminaren und Veranstaltungen
  • Beitrag zu einer offenen, inklusiven und wertschätzenden Institutskultur

Ihre Qualifikation

  • Bachelorabschluss in Ingenieurwissenschaften mit Schwerpunkt Aerodynamik oder Windenergie, in Geografie, Meteorologie oder einer vergleichbaren Fachrichtung
  • Erste Erfahrung in Windmodellierung und/oder "Downscaling" sowie im Datenmanagement und in der Datenanalyse
  • Kenntnisse in Python und MATLAB
  • Idealerweise erste Praxiserfahrung durch Industriepraktika oder vergleichbare Tätigkeiten
  • Ausgeprägte Kommunikationsfähigkeit in einem interdisziplinären Umfeld
  • Hohe Eigenständigkeit sowie strukturierte und qualitätsbewusste Arbeitsweise
  • Teamfähige, flexible Persönlichkeit mit Freude an einem dynamischen Forschungsumfeld
  • Fliessende Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse, mindestens Niveau C1
