This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Accounting Advisory Senior Associate- UHNW Family Office based in the United States.
This role supports high-net-worth individuals, family offices, private companies, and entrepreneurial clients with sophisticated accounting and advisory needs. You’ll combine hands-on accounting expertise with financial reporting, technology, and business advisory work. The position offers exposure to multiple clients, projects, industries, and accounting environments. You’ll contribute to month-end close, reconciliations, financial statements, and management reporting while supporting broader advisory engagements. You’ll also help clients assess ERP and accounting technology needs and implement practical process improvements. Working alongside experienced consultants and engagement leaders, you’ll have opportunities to expand your technical and client-facing capabilities. Accountabilities
- Manage accounting services for clients, including month-end close activities, accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Support engagement teams and managers on small to mid-sized private company management and compilation reporting engagements.
- Manage multiple client engagements concurrently and collaborate directly with client personnel throughout implementations and advisory projects.
- Partner with senior consultants to assess ERP and accounting technology requirements and help develop and implement solutions across different business and accounting domains.
- Analyze financial, operational, and technical information to develop practical recommendations and solutions that address client needs.
- Contribute to special projects involving accounting processes, technology, reporting, and business advisory services.
- Build strong client relationships through clear communication, responsiveness, thoughtful analysis, and high-quality deliverables.
- Contribute to team initiatives and continuously develop technical, analytical, and advisory capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience in public accounting and/or an accounting function within industry.
- Interest in pursuing a CPA designation.
- Experience with data conversions, interfaces and integrations, reporting, and customization across ERP or accounting systems.
- Hands-on experience with platforms such as QuickBooks, Intacct, NetSuite, or comparable accounting technologies.
- Familiarity with Bill.com, Expensify, Concur, or similar financial operations tools is a plus.
- Working knowledge of GAAP is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to take ownership of client work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working directly with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, engagements, and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced professional services environment.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and client-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
- Salary range of $90,000–$115,000 annually for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area who meet the stated requirements; compensation may vary based on location and qualifications.
