The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Analista de Testes Automatizados / Sistemas Sênior based in Brazil.

This is a hands-on senior role combining software quality engineering with systems analysis. You will initially focus on implementing a robust Shift Left testing strategy and building automated test coverage. The role involves API, web, integration, and data validation testing within an agile delivery environment. You will work closely with developers, Squad Leaders, and systems analysts throughout the software lifecycle. Over time, the position is designed to evolve toward requirements analysis, solution design, and systems analysis. You will translate business needs into clear technical specifications and support developers during implementation. The opportunity is suited to a professional seeking a long-term role with both technical depth and broader systems responsibilities.

Accountabilities

  • Define and implement a Shift Left testing strategy in collaboration with developers, Squad Leaders, and systems analysts.
  • Specify test scenarios using BDD/Gherkin, establish acceptance criteria, and maintain traceability between requirements, tests, and defects in Xray/Jira.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests, primarily using Robot Framework, covering APIs, web applications, and system integrations.
  • Create advanced SQL queries for test data preparation, data validation, integrity checks, and automated test support.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, including triggers, reporting, and evidence collection.
  • Monitor software quality through metrics such as test coverage, cycle time, and production defects.
  • Support exploratory testing and basic non-functional testing, including performance checks and API contract validation.
  • Gather and document business and system requirements, including user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and process flows.
  • Design technical solutions based on documented requirements and provide clear specifications to development teams.
  • Support developers throughout implementation by clarifying requirements and technical decisions.
  • Participate in solution validation, homologation, and agile ceremonies.
  • Gradually transition from a primary automation-testing focus toward broader systems analysis and solution-design responsibilities.
  • Professional experience as a QA Analyst, Test Automation Engineer, or similar role, either as an employee or contractor.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Robot Framework, including page objects, keywords, and libraries for API and web testing.
  • Practical experience with Xray and Jira for test planning, execution, evidence management, and requirements-to-test-to-defect traceability.
  • Solid understanding and practical application of Shift Left principles, including participation in refinement sessions, Definition of Ready/Definition of Done, and test-pyramid practices.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, CTEs, window functions, and data validation.
  • Experience with Git, pull requests, and code review practices for automated tests.
  • Experience testing REST and SOAP APIs and integrating automated testing with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience gathering and documenting requirements through user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, and process flows.
  • Knowledge of UML, BPMN, and basic data modeling.
  • Understanding of system architecture and integrations involving APIs, messaging, and file-based interfaces.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, as well as Jira and Confluence.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business needs into clear technical specifications.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work in a role that progressively expands from test automation into systems analysis and solution design.
  • Remote work model as described in the original opportunity, with the source listing also indicating a hybrid arrangement.
  • PJ (contractor/legal entity) engagement model.
  • Opportunity to work on technology initiatives supporting the commercialization of electric energy in Brazil.
  • Long-term professional development combining test automation, quality engineering, systems analysis, and solution design.
  • Collaboration with multidisciplinary technology and delivery teams.
  • Hands-on exposure to modern automation, CI/CD, API testing, and agile engineering practices.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
