This senior quality assurance role focuses on ensuring software reliability, functionality, and overall product quality. You will plan, execute, and document manual and automated tests across software applications. The role requires understanding how systems work internally, identifying potential failure points, and challenging assumptions through thoughtful testing. You will analyze requirements and translate them into effective test strategies and scenarios. Collaboration with developers and other stakeholders will be essential to investigate issues and drive solutions. The position also contributes to continuous improvements in quality processes and product development. You will work in a collaborative technology environment that values innovation, knowledge sharing, and professional development.
Accountabilities:
- Plan, execute, and document software tests.
- Analyze system requirements to identify quality risks and define appropriate testing approaches.
- Perform both manual and automated testing as needed.
- Develop a clear mental model of how applications work internally and use it to test system limits and potential failure scenarios.
- Understand common programming languages and use basic technical knowledge to investigate software behavior.
- Identify, track, document, and report bugs and other quality issues.
- Collaborate with developers and relevant stakeholders to investigate and resolve defects.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to testing practices and product quality.
- Provide instructions and presentations on product functionality to stakeholders.
- Previous experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Experience planning, executing, and documenting software tests.
- Practical experience with manual and automated testing.
- Basic knowledge of commonly used programming languages.
- Ability to understand application architecture and build a mental model of software behavior.
- Ability to identify potential problems and test the limits of expected system behavior.
- Experience identifying, tracking, and reporting software defects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills when working with developers and stakeholders.
- Ability to explain software functionality clearly through instructions and presentations.
