The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Director, Field Launch & Change Surge based in the United States.

The Associate Director, Field Launch & Change Surge will play a key role in supporting major launches, operational transformations, and high-priority organizational changes across a complex field organization. This position focuses on ensuring smooth implementation, strong operational readiness, and rapid issue resolution during critical transition periods. Working closely with field leaders and cross-functional teams, you will translate strategic plans into clear, actionable execution steps. You will proactively identify risks, coordinate launch activities, and drive timely resolution of issues that could affect field performance. The role also involves strengthening launch processes and developing repeatable practices that improve future execution. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced operations professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys driving measurable results across multiple workstreams.

Accountabilities

  • Lead launch and change execution: Provide focused operational support for major product launches, significant technology or process releases, and high-impact organizational changes, ensuring clear responsibilities, sequencing, and follow-through.
  • Translate plans into actionable deliverables: Convert launch and change strategies into practical field activities, including readiness tasks, cutover plans, stabilization activities, timelines, and ownership assignments.
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks: Proactively assess cross-functional dependencies, training gaps, workflow disruptions, and operational constraints, coordinating mitigation plans with the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate go-live readiness: Support cutover planning and launch preparation by maintaining readiness checklists, clarifying timelines for field teams, and establishing escalation procedures for critical issues.
  • Manage post-launch stabilization: Coordinate hypercare activities during launch and change periods, ensuring effective issue triage, clear ownership, timely resolution, and consistent communication.
  • Drive issue resolution and continuous improvement: Track operational issues through closure, identify recurring problems, and collaborate with relevant teams to implement root-cause solutions rather than temporary workarounds.
  • Align cross-functional stakeholders: Work closely with field execution leaders, enablement teams, operations, and other partners to coordinate timelines, readiness expectations, and support models while minimizing last-minute disruptions.
  • Monitor execution performance: Maintain an integrated overview of readiness indicators, dependencies, and potential risks, providing actionable updates and recommendations to execution leadership.
  • Improve launch methodologies: Capture lessons learned from launches and change initiatives and translate them into stronger readiness playbooks, reusable templates, and standardized operating procedures.
  • Provide flexible execution support: Adapt quickly to changing priorities and support multiple portfolios or workstreams as needed to maintain operational continuity during periods of significant change.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Relevant experience: At least six years of experience in field operations, launch execution, program delivery, or other execution-focused roles within complex, cross-functional organizations.
  • Project and program execution: Demonstrated ability to coordinate operational initiatives, translate strategic plans into practical deliverables, and ensure activities are completed within established timelines.
  • Change and launch management: Familiarity with launch readiness frameworks, cutover planning, hypercare support, structured issue management, or similar operational transition practices is an advantage.
  • Risk management and problem-solving: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify dependencies, anticipate operational challenges, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder management: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to align stakeholders, influence decisions, and drive accountability without direct managerial authority.
  • Adaptability: Proven ability to perform effectively in high-intensity environments, manage competing priorities, and respond quickly to changing business needs and tight deadlines.
  • Execution discipline: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a consistent focus on ownership, follow-through, and measurable outcomes.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Ability to work effectively with diverse teams across multiple functions, portfolios, and organizational levels.
  • Continuous improvement mindset: Interest in identifying process gaps, improving operational practices, and applying lessons learned to strengthen future execution.
  • Work authorization and location: Must be based in the United States and authorized to work without employer-sponsored visa support. The position is remote, with approximately 10% domestic and/or international travel required. Relocation assistance is not available, and working hours and travel expectations will be determined by the hiring manager.
  • Competitive annual salary: Expected base salary range of $145,600 to $270,400, depending on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and other applicable factors.
  • Performance incentives: Eligibility for performance-based cash incentives.
  • Equity opportunities: Potential eligibility for annual equity awards, depending on the level of the position.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage: Medical, life, and disability benefits for eligible U.S.-based employees.
  • Retirement savings: 401(k) plan with employer contributions and matching.
  • Paid time off: Generous time-off package, including vacation, personal days, paid holidays, and other leave options.
  • Remote work flexibility: Opportunity to work remotely from within the United States, subject to applicable location restrictions.
  • Professional development: Opportunities to collaborate across functions, strengthen operational leadership capabilities, and contribute to high-impact initiatives.
  • Meaningful impact: The opportunity to support important organizational transformations and help ensure that field teams remain effective during critical launches and periods of change.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
